haters gonna hate
11/24/2010 2:12:04 PM
Fuck that Nate would suplex Bruce Carter's gay ass
11/24/2010 2:13:06 PM
this is just something else they are going to have to take from UNC at the end of the season...
11/24/2010 2:15:22 PM

^^ that guy is ridiculous and should absolutely be on the list. Did they misspell his name or something?
11/24/2010 2:21:56 PM
I don't care so long as Nate busts some skulls.
11/24/2010 2:24:32 PM
I'd rather be en route to a conf championship game. Not on some opinionated list with judges that are as corrupt as the same cheaters who organized the current unc football team.Let that ass clown be a 'nominee' for that. Let Irving enjoy a win over the holes and a major bowl game.
11/24/2010 2:25:37 PM
yeah i think that dude from BC leads the nation in tackles

come on guys, this awards in not about stats for this a award is about how much you have overcome, and Carter has had to overcome a lot this year. i mean he plays for a horrible coach. What has Nate overcame this year, right. Plus Bruce put up solid stats right, lets go to the stat book,Tackles:nate 8thcarter tied at 36th (not bad)Sacks:Nate 11thCarter not in the top 20Tackle for lossNate 2ndCarter not in the top 20.
11/24/2010 2:35:49 PM
Carter has crazy physical stats and has had ESPN sucking his dick since the preseason. His popularity is the only reason he's on this list.

B Carter: 57 tackles, 3.5 TFL, 2.5 sacks < Nate Irving 85 tackles, 19 TFL, 5 sacks
11/24/2010 3:35:17 PM
hey, Carter's 3.5 tackles for loss is pretty goodIts not like Nate could more than double that in a single game
11/24/2010 3:37:51 PM
wow, that's ridiculous, looking at the stats comparison. fuck that.
11/24/2010 3:38:29 PM
Carter is not even in the top 100 of any defensive stat nationally. Nate is 4th in sacks for loss.
11/24/2010 3:40:43 PM
wow, what in the world were they thinking.. maybe john blake slipped them some cash [Edited on November 24, 2010 at 3:42 PM. Reason : .]

Kuechly is freaking badass. He pretty much makes about 50% of the stops for BC by himself. As for Nate, he got shafted bad. No way in hell that Carter should have made that list. Hopefully the Athletics PR department is bitching at someone for this oversight. Complete horse shit that they left off Nate.[Edited on November 24, 2010 at 3:55 PM. Reason : ^ gg to Twista]

^^^In other words, they fall vicitim to the hype/money machine that all college awards and ceremonies do and he was pretty bad at scrambling up a reason to justify the voters lack of knowledge/sanityThanks for the feedback, tho[Edited on November 24, 2010 at 3:56 PM. Reason : ]

Ill be honest, I watched sportscenter a lot before say, mud October, and never have heard of the guy. I have heard ofcarter a lot...but maybe that's because I went to highschool with him so I recognize it easier.
11/24/2010 4:00:48 PM
the cheating and scandals at UNC have soured the state of North Carolina as a whole, they know that most voters and the public would not want anyone from the state
11/24/2010 4:03:08 PM
^^ You don't hear of him becuase BC sucks. He's an incredible player....he has 161 tackles this year, 2 INT's, a few sacks. By comparison, Nate has 85 tackles and Carter has 57One could argue that Kuechly is having a great year becuase BC is terrible and he's the only outstanding defensive player, but he's been a beast his entire career. (He's a true Sophomore). He had 158 tackles last year as a freshman[Edited on November 24, 2010 at 4:10 PM. Reason : ]

Gg twista, mad props. Now someone message that to Irving himself so he gets even more incentive to suplex the Maryland qb [Edited on November 24, 2010 at 4:35 PM. Reason : V damn phones ]
11/24/2010 4:14:09 PM
boyerosiplex
11/24/2010 4:19:17 PM
Also factor in that Nate missed a year.
11/24/2010 4:45:31 PM
11/24/2010 5:01:38 PM
Irving has better numbers than both Carter and Miller......Houston has a good number of sacks but far less tackles. Kuechly is a machine in tackles, but far less game changing plays(sacks, tfl, etc)
11/24/2010 5:06:02 PM
11/24/2010 6:58:14 PM
They need to weight the stats on how long the defense is on the field. Pretty obvious if your defense blows and your offense does too that your D will be on the field for more plays.
11/24/2010 7:03:37 PM
I do not get Carter over Irving at all.
11/24/2010 7:13:26 PM
^^^^^lol
11/24/2010 7:24:25 PM
Damn! Talk about getting shafted..thats some bull!
11/24/2010 8:07:47 PM
can carter beat irving in a foot race? Just wondering about other intangibles that make him "better" ... like the fact that he is a bit of a more beastly specimen.
11/24/2010 8:11:31 PM
... or the fact that he plays for UNC?
11/24/2010 8:12:49 PM
fucked up
11/24/2010 10:26:16 PM
They based it on earning potential and since Carter is already earning they just went with him. DollarDollarBill[Edited on November 25, 2010 at 3:41 AM. Reason : .]

They picked carter because of all the "adversity" he went through. Or either this was the finalist list preseason and the assholes were too lazy to actually watch games.
11/25/2010 7:12:07 AM
that failure didnt beat nate in fucking anything but losses. belly shirt haters
