So here's the thing: I bought a permit for the RS Lot on Centennial and turns out I don't use it as much as I thought I would need. I've decided to sell the permit and make some much needed money while saving some freshmen's ass er something. My contact info is mhbyrd@ncsu.edu. Email if interested.Let's see... I'll start it at $150? Much less than I paid :/ But it's all good!

you are aware this is highly illegal^ what he saidibtl[Edited on November 23, 2010 at 4:01 PM. Reason : !]

highly illegal?what particular laws would this person be breaking?but yeah, if you can sell it back to the school that's the best plan of action.
11/23/2010 4:03:12 PM
i wouldn't say it's "highly illegal" but i think the passes are considered property of transportation at ncsu and therefore you can't sell it yourself.
11/23/2010 4:53:23 PM
yeah, you're not suppose to sell thisthat said, i support you in selling it...not by purchasing it, but in spirit

have fun being sent to collections when someone racks up some parking tickets on your pass.
11/23/2010 5:28:20 PM
^are tickets attributed to the pass number or the license plate number? I really don't know...

11/23/2010 6:06:04 PM
it has to be through the pass number because they can keep you from graduating if you have unpaid tickets
11/23/2010 6:06:13 PM
i knew that...just could not remember...yeah...sell it to the school. Profit. Buy a cashmere sweater

11/24/2010 11:44:33 AM

11/24/2010 11:56:51 AM
point?
11/24/2010 1:16:35 PM
yes, parking tickets are processed based on the permit #.and of course transportation doesn't sit around matching tags to permit numbers. that's not the point. the point is if someone does buy this pass and get a ticket the OP is screwed.

sell it back to school and get back half of what you paid (RS=$180, you get back $90 if you sell it back before spring semester starts)[Edited on November 24, 2010 at 8:57 PM. Reason : good luck getting $150 for it ]

Well shit. Didn't expect responses. People actually use this site ;DSo far the tickets I've gotten only list the license number... Petty ticket though so unsure if they did match it to the permit. After all, when you pay a ticket online it asks for your student ID.Hell if I know. I wasn't aware you could sell it back to the school. Eh... guess 90 bucks back isn't too bad. Contact transportation in the morning. Thanks guys...?Damn... I wanted bank

Just sold my West Lot permit back for 146 bucks. It feels nice to not be ripped off by NCSU after selling all my textbooks back for like $30z.
