Yeah. Air Quality is pretty damn bad in China. When I was there for 6 weeks this past summer, I had about 3-4 days in which I saw the sun and blue sky. And it didn't seem to matter where I went either, whether it was Beijing, Shanghai or cities surrounding Shanghai.

I have read that a fair amount of the air pollution in California has, in fact, blown across the ocean from China. I haven't verified that, but at any rate his description of pollution in China was...terrifying.

While it wouldn't surprise me if some Cali pollution reached there, this is pretty much all China. The summers are particularly bad because the rapid deforestation has led to sands blowing off the Gobi. This, combined with the air pollution, then floats not just over Beijing but also into Seoul and Tokyo, covering all the cities in a toxic yellow dust.

So let's just get to the heart of the issue and ask the most important question... is this good or bad for America?

And the environmentalists are all over this country. Ha.

So it's pretty much like how England was 100 years ago? They'll get over it.
