Couldn't find a thread about it.

Release date 12 November, 2010.

Looks like Independence Day 2 to me.

looks like decent popcorn movie fare to me and i applaud the directors for funding the entire project out of their own pockets.

not to mention, anything with Donald Faison is a plus

yeah, looks interesting. More like a split between Independence Day and War of the Worlds.

I just have to say, poor ferrari being smashed up.

I was really disappointed when they got to the title part of the trailer and it did not say Independence Day 2 or something along those lines

Comes out in 2 days. I just saw the latest preview. The similarities between it and Independence Day seem uncanny.

The aliens also look kinda similar to the ones in "War of the Worlds."

It's got that actor from 24 and a few of the SyFy monster movies...seems like good peanut gallery fare.

It's also got the shitty latin-american actor from Dexter. He's fucking horrible.

It looks absolutely laughable, I cringe when I see advertisements for it.

Can't wait for the critical panning.

Eric Balfour is a terrible, terrible actor

Also I'm a bigger fan of Frankie Faison than Donald Faison

THANK YOU! I'm glad I'm not the only one that thinks it looks awful. A bunch of my friends keep talking about it like it is gonna be awesome and I keep thinking they know something that I don't.

The ads look awful... mostly just because of all the product placement. I counted at least two close-ups of car logos for no reason other than to show the logo...

Looks a lot like other disaster/alien movies that sucked

War of the Worlds
Day after Tomorrow
Day the Earth Stood Still
2012
District 9
...probably missing alot more

ID:4 was a success because of the great cast (Jeff Goldblum/Will Smith). Take them out and just just look at the aliens of the movie and the plot and you've got an otherwise lame movie.

You're a fucking retard if you put District 9 in the same category as Day After Tomorrow and 2012.

ID:4 was a success because they had that trailer where they blew up the muthafuckin White House.

Also, that was Will Smith's coming out party as a movie actor after Fresh Prince.

Eric Balfour and Donald Fasion don't exactly have that same appeal.

Especially since District 9 wasn't even remotely a disaster film, and it was good. Obviously the guy has never seen it.

It was good, but I think the whole alien thing is kind of played out. Would've been cooler with werewolves or centaurs.

I was not a fan of District 9. Big disappointment IMO.

For me it was his portrayal of the drummer in the band Love Burger.

I fully intend on seeing this tomorrow...decent amount of hope for it, despite the aforementioned potential problems it might have.

Then again, I don't know of an alien invasion movie that I haven't been excited about (at least before viewing )

So, this movie was pretty terrible. Waste of my money. I wish they would have spent more money to make the ending make sense. The entire audience literally threw there hands in the air and walked out pissed when the credits started.

Not even worth getting at red box when it comes out.

[Edited on November 12, 2010 at 10:13 PM. Reason : still mad]

[Edited on November 12, 2010 at 10:14 PM. Reason : I'm sure they left the ending the way it was so you could 'interpret' it with all your friends...]

Yeah it was really bad. And not in a so bad it's awesome to make fun of, it's just bad. Bad dialogue, bad cinematography, bad plot/character development, bad everything.

SPOILER ALERT NOT THAT ANYONE ELSE IS GOING TO SEE THIS

They should have just ended the movie when those two got sucked up into the ship. Nothing after that point made any sense, offered any explanation or helped the movie in any way.

^ I know.

They left so many loose strings. I'm sure they 'intended' for it to leave people disappointed. I wish there was a money back policy for seeing a movie. I might still try.

When they started kissing being sucked up into the thing I think I puked in my mouth a little bit.

For lolarious spoilers courtesy of Wikipedia, highlight below. You don't need to know anything besides what's in the trailer to realize how hilarious this is.
Back on the roof, Jarrod and Elaine are trapped and realize that they are doomed. Together, they both look into the blue light of an alien ship. They embrace as they are sucked into the ship. It is then showed that the entire world is being decimated by these aliens. On board, Elaine watches as Jarrod's brain is removed from his body. She is spared because the alien sorter realizes she is pregnant. When Jarrod's brain is inserted into an alien body, the alien possesses his memories because he has been exposed to the aliens' toxin enough to be resistant to it. Recognizing Elaine, the alien with Jarrod's brain caresses her gently and the credits roll with still photographs of Jarrod's alien fighting off other aliens, protecting Elaine and his unborn child.
AHAHAHAHAHAHAH SWEET JESUS.

I'm glad I saw this movie. It was so bad that it made me laugh out loud several times in the theater, especially at the end. All in all I was pretty entertained by the sheer failure of it, but if you have the choice please do not go anywhere near this movie.

TERRIBLE MOVIE

dear god.

Batista gets on my nerves as usual. Mother fucker should be blind after watching a fucking nuke go off through a telescope.
CTU didn't train Milo well enough to be the male lead in this type of movie.
