i went in January but i was on a school trip so a lot of my time was spent visiting businesses and law firms :/HOWEVERif you wanna gamble, you can take the ferry to Macau...i didn't do this, its supposed to be a good time though.i went to see the giant buddah at lantau. you just take the train/subway and then ride a gondola up the side of a mountain, which is really cool if it isn't rainy/smoggy. i did it in the drizzle and it was still really awesome, so i'd recommend that. giant buddah, temples, some other cool stuff. its probably worth doing. you can also do victoria peak, or whatever. which is another typical touristy thing, but the view of the city is pretty awesome (that is really ALL you get here...there is nothing else cool at the top but like a mcdonalds...seriously...uber touristy). if you had to pick between this and lantau, do lantau.we also went to lamma island (i think) to eat seafood one night. you take a boat over there...holy shit the night we went the ride was absolutely nauseating and i'm not normally a motion sick kind of girl. its just basically a market with fresh seafood. there are literally holes in the sidewalk with fish swimming. there are lots of restaurants to eat at and its fun to just walk around. i stayed in Kowloon. basically i just wandered around the city a lot. i enjoyed it. its really clean and easy to navigate.[Edited on October 30, 2010 at 9:26 AM.
