Ive got an older cycleops model that works well. It's a little noisy but Im running knobbies against it.

i got that Kurt Kinetics from REI on sale last week for $270.. you just missed the deal, dude.I hear KKs are the way to roll. lifetime warranty and supposedly really solid. at cross races everyone warms up on trainers before the race and like 75% are green. but really, im sure the cycleops is fine, too. def get a fluid.

Get the Kurt. Much better build quality. There are a couple sites online that offer unlisted deals. I got mine for around $220. I know bikesportmichigan.com was one of the sellers with the superb deal but I think I remember them closing last year. I remember there being others and if I can think of them, I'll update here.Use the money you save to get a trainer tire, riser, etc.

Put away the training wheels and buy a set of Kreitlers. Then you'll actually get some real benefit from your indoor bike workouts.
