Suggestion 1: Ask your local grocer!

Suggestion 2: Find the youngest, most irresponsible kid in a big grocery storechain and "slip him $5" if he puts #ofmilkcrates out back.

no way you get a legitimate source of crates from a grocery store. they package them up once they get a certain amount and sell them back to the milk companies.

Well, they don't sell them. They are property of the processing dairies and they are retrieved when new milk is dropped off, and they are also counted. A shortage in crates costs groceries stores, and inflates the prices to consumers. In recent years, toy companies have been paying people to steal them, shred them, and melt them down into toys because the cost of hydrocarbon plastics has skyrocketed. It is to the point that dairies are actually sending people out to confiscate them, and to take legal action against people that have them. Take them at your own risk, if they are in public view there is a small chance you'll get that $10,000 fine p/ crate that is embossed on the crate. You think I'm kidding, but it is similar to stealing music on the internet. You don't think about it, and you'll probably not get caught, but if you do you're fucked my friend.

i don't really care where they come from, though

[Edited on October 19, 2010 at 10:00 AM. Reason : but i don't suppose i specifically mentioned "local" or "raleigh", so...touché]

I think we left one at evan's when we moved. Ask him if he's seen it.

I got one you can have. Its bright green. Unfortunatly I only need one due to hitting the long ball into tree lines. Let me know when/if you want it.
