Where is a place where I can get some decent wood? Like to build furniture out of? I've went to Home Depot and they only have 2x4s and plywood.

Capitol Lumber SupplyMcEwen LumberWurth Wood GroupThat's it locally. Capitol is on Beryl Road right next to the fairgrounds. They have the smallest selection, but generally good prices.McEwen is my favorite (granted it's been 3 years since I live in Raleigh). They have good prices and they DELIVER if you order even a modest amount.Wurth has a HUGE inventory. If you need something, they either have it or can get it quickly. They are also MUCH more expensive. Unless you manage to get an account with them (or you're a student) they will be 20-40% more expensive than everyone else. Student discounts there used to be great, and their business account discounts can be as much as 50%.

Any wood can be good if you just spend the right amount of time spit polishing it.
