does anyone have one of these? Really need one, and don't want to spend $texas for one Not to be confused with mini-usb, what I need is micro-usb. Here is a pic of exactly what I'm looking for: http://images.gizmag.com/hero/12108_30060915257.jpgEdit: Also, its a pretty common cellphone adapter, but I need to connect to a usb port on a computer for data-use, not a wall-wort for just charging.[Edited on October 5, 2010 at 9:46 AM. Reason : cellphone]

Lol "too long for data"? WTH are you talking about?
10/6/2010 4:21:26 PM
When the length of a usb cable becomes too long, the signal is no longer reliably transmitted. While usually the limit is longer than 5 feet, the reviews on these particular cables from meritline were sad at best. The gauge of wire was too small and they didn't work at that length reliably. Probably why they were on sale.

Even half decent cables well over 5' work just fine. If a cable doesn't work, it's just poor construction, not the length. That said, I have several cheap 6' and 8' USB cables that work just fine.
