Not goodShatner was a terrible choice...his delivery sucks. and whoever this guy is that is playing the son is not good eitherWill never watch again. Sorry for the real guy I guess...I'm sure he was hoping to make some extra $$ off his little shindig...not happening with the show.
9/23/2010 9:40:58 PM
what made twitter feed funny was that these were thoughts coming from a man who wasn't aware that he was funny. However Shatner is probably the most self-aware person on the planet. It's just not a formula for success.
9/23/2010 9:43:33 PM
i can't believe someone actually gave this a chance and watched even one ep
9/23/2010 9:43:58 PM
I'm sorry wasting 22 minutes of my life disappoints you ?
9/23/2010 9:47:19 PM
it was on after big bang theory and i didn't feel like changing the channel. I agree that it wasn't that good.
9/23/2010 10:03:17 PM
Figured I'd see how terrible it was. They blew their wad on the first segment. Shit was downhill with speed after that.
9/23/2010 10:22:04 PM
I don't like Big Bang Theory anyway, so I'll never leave it on to watch this.CBS has the worst comedies by far.
9/23/2010 10:57:24 PM
I was determined to like this. I enjoyed the source material and I think Shatner is funny as hell. But, holy shit, this was horrible. I made it to the part where Nicole Sullivan showed up and couldn't stomach it any further. (So like 5 1/2 minutes in)
9/24/2010 1:31:39 AM
The commercial was enough to figure out this was FAILSAUCE.
9/24/2010 6:41:40 AM
you think the guy making money is 'not happening with this show'?[Edited on September 24, 2010 at 6:47 AM. Reason : l.]
9/24/2010 6:47:39 AM
re-read what I posted and try againit'll be canceled in a few weeks
9/24/2010 6:52:22 AM
HORRIBLE. i hate shatner. i watched it for around 10 seconds and really just couldn't tolerate it. failhowever, community making fun of the show was funny.
9/24/2010 7:13:05 AM
9/24/2010 9:22:20 AM
I read what you said. You said 'I'm sure he was hoping to make some extra $$ off his little shindig...not happening with the show.'The opposite of what you said is true. He has 'made some extra $$ off his little shindig.'
9/24/2010 5:00:44 PM
I know he's made money selling the rights of his book to the network to produce the show...my point is his little dream is going to be very short lived.
9/24/2010 5:24:46 PM
i dont even understand how shit like this gets past the initial pitch to network execs
9/24/2010 11:44:23 PM
i turned it off after 10 minutes. horrible
9/25/2010 9:10:03 AM
Was it worse than Outsourced? I forced myself to watch Outsourced, not sure it's even supposed to be a comedy.

CALLED OUT
9/27/2010 4:30:27 PM
i sure wasn't the first, and i sure won't be the last.
9/27/2010 4:49:22 PM
Agreed, Shatner was wrong for this role. When I picture the guy from the feed, I picture a hoarse, grizzed, cancer-ridden old fart. Shatner is not hoarse, grizzled, cancer-ridden, or fart-like, though he is pushing 80.
9/27/2010 4:59:21 PM
9/27/2010 6:21:23 PM
Under that scenario, who would be the perfect "dad"?I say either Brian Dennehy, Craig T. Nelson, or Frasier's dad from Frasier. My vote would be Craig T. Nelson.
9/27/2010 6:49:45 PM
Robert Loggia
9/27/2010 6:52:59 PM
^good call
9/27/2010 6:55:30 PM
I started watching it, and stopped after 5 minutes (because I had to go do something)I haven't had the urge to start it back up again
9/27/2010 6:56:03 PM
Peter Boyle

Larry Davidanyway, wanted to respond to this:

How I met your mother is the only good one. 2.5 men is probably the worst.I think Modern family alone moves ABC over CBS. I've only seen Cougartown and The Middle a couple of times but they are still better than most of the stuff on CBS.
9/27/2010 9:38:05 PM
^^what comedies are you watching on Fox? Malcom in the Middle and that 70's show?
9/27/2010 9:52:27 PM
cartoons maybe? the comedic factor to house maybe?that's all I could think ofunless he is using the collective FX line up too... in which case, I could see that argument (Archer, League, IASIP, Louie, etc...)[Edited on September 27, 2010 at 10:09 PM. Reason : s]

^^^^ That's the first time I've ever heard of anyone who actually watches Two and a Half Men. I've never seen it, so I can't speak to how good/bad it is, but I've never been curious. Not even once. I gave this show a shot because I liked the Twitter feed and hoped against my better judgment that it might work out. I watched the pilot, and promptly canceled it from my DVR list.[Edited on September 27, 2010 at 10:07 PM. Reason : too slow]
9/27/2010 10:07:46 PM
i refuse to watch Two and Half Men because i find it impossible to believe Charlie Sheen is a ladies man when he only wears those rediculous bowling shirts and socks and loafers. If that were true half this user base would be striking it rich.

9/27/2010 10:19:25 PM
Fox has the new comedies Raising Hope and Running Wilde.
9/27/2010 10:20:54 PM
^^haha that shit is SUPER annoying. Also LOL at your status.^I seent em and was not impressed, barely got a few chuckles out of the two of them combined. [Edited on September 27, 2010 at 10:23 PM. Reason : .]
9/27/2010 10:21:04 PM
Yeah I haven't seen them, just thought the previews looked kind of funny. I don't watch TV shows all that much.
9/27/2010 10:28:16 PM
Kurtwood Smith (the dad from that 70's show) should have replaced Shatner.

Two and a Half Men is what it is. It's not outstanding, but it's decent enough (or at least, what they show in syndication is). It's an inoffensive way to kill 30 minutes, gets a few cheap laughs, and generally has attractive women floating around. If nothing else, it's not the basic "quirky family with way too many kids" or "group of 20-something friends" type sitcoms.

9/28/2010 11:09:05 AM
Have seen neither of the FOX comedies. Not interested. The CBS comedies are hit or miss. I really like BBT and HIMYM. Watch 2.5M but its not my favorite anymore. Kinda getting stale.
9/28/2010 11:24:37 AM
sitcoms are just horrible to me. super cheesy and written for the mental capacity of a 3 year old. i tried big bang theory bc so many people said it was good. that is the most god awful show i've seen in a long time.i don't know what category modern family falls into but that show is hilarious to me.
9/28/2010 11:37:50 AM
a sitcom
9/28/2010 11:54:47 AM
I do like how I met your mother, but last weeks was awful (I haven't watched this weeks yet)

i always thought of sitcoms as comedies filmed in front of an audience, or had laugh tracks. modern family doesn't have those things. i think it's a comedy. not a sitcom.ha, it's a mockumentary! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sitcom#2000_and_afteri also like the office and parks & rec.[Edited on September 28, 2010 at 2:03 PM.
