Figured I would just bring this to everyone's attention...http://www.facebook.com/#!/event.php?eid=137492762962438&index=1A student made a facebook event for a student section Pink Out at the NCSU/FSU game in a couple of weeks... There are already 1,941 students that plan to "attend" this event. While I like the idea... if not executed properly it would definitely look pretty crappy. Personally, I don't plan on going out and buying a pink t-shirt just to wear to this football game. There has been a good bit of controversy surrounding this whole thing on the event's wall.Just thought I would get the discussion percolating.

you motherfuckers but bleach in with your red Wolfpacking shirts!! dats what the world will think!!
9/12/2010 6:55:48 PM
It's for a good cause, but it was my hope that by 2010 the world would be over _______-outs.
9/12/2010 6:59:24 PM
These only work when they pass out the shirts for free as you come in the stadium...
9/12/2010 6:59:29 PM

9/12/2010 7:00:59 PM
i think everyone is pretty aware of breast cancer, half the damn items in the grocery store are pink nowthat said, i guess people can wear whatever they want to a gamei'm wearing red unless they're handing out free t-shirts
9/12/2010 7:01:13 PM
^bingoit will just look sloppy and half assedyou need to get a sponsor in place before you put together something like this.
9/12/2010 7:08:49 PM
^^thisAlso, how is it for a good cause? It raises no money unless they sell the pink shirts. Pretty sure everyone knows what breast cancer is at this point. All these (insert color)-outs are getting out of hand. We are red and white. Sorry folks. Not black or pink. Should have gone to a different school if you don't like wearing red. Doesn't matter anyway because all the frat-tastic dbags will be in white button downs and bow ties. /rant[Edited on September 12, 2010 at 7:14 PM. Reason : x]

primetime nationwide ESPN game
9/12/2010 7:20:13 PM
I would love to see Carter Finley like thisBUTwe couldn't even get our 50,000+ crowd to participate in a "white out" or "red out" and those are our team colors....and Penn State's Beaver Stadium seats 100,000+. They have real football fans there...
9/12/2010 7:43:16 PM
9/12/2010 7:45:10 PM

9/12/2010 7:47:03 PM

9/12/2010 7:47:25 PM

9/12/2010 7:52:58 PM
I miss the big inflatable wolf in the endzone. That was a great tradition.
9/12/2010 8:08:59 PM

9/12/2010 8:11:29 PM

what's worse is that there is a fb group for the cinci game. a "red out".really?
9/12/2010 9:15:17 PM
i mean honestly, it would be way cool if 100% of the stadium was wearing red.i have no problem with that one[Edited on September 12, 2010 at 9:16 PM. Reason : even if it should be redundant ]

Pink Out sounds like we're all going to be spreading our twatsI don't like it
9/12/2010 9:19:11 PM
Pink out? Gay, why don't we all wear strap ons and go down on each other during tv timeouts
9/12/2010 9:27:02 PM
I think this would be a great idea if done in conjunction with a fundraiser for the Kay Yow/WBCA Cancer Fund. But like was said earlier, they would need to give out shirts to make it work.
9/12/2010 9:32:07 PM
9/12/2010 9:35:06 PM
I wouldn't wear a goddamn pink shirt even if they gave me oneI'd wear a ribbon, and I don't see why that isn't an option hereWho wouldn't want to wear a ribbon?
9/12/2010 9:35:31 PM
I ain't wearin' no ribbon! What do you think I am, some kind of nancy-boy?
9/12/2010 9:43:52 PM
I better not see a pinkout on national tv
9/12/2010 9:45:15 PM
NO! Bad idea. no ___-outs ever. We have failed at every attempt to do this.Everyone should always wear red to every game ----> . But we fail to ever do that too.
9/12/2010 9:54:37 PM
i thought the white out went quite well
9/12/2010 9:54:55 PM

9/13/2010 7:34:50 PM

9/13/2010 7:36:36 PM

9/13/2010 9:01:38 PM
"Pink out" has officially been called off... Taken from facebook event page...
9/27/2010 12:07:39 AM
thank god
9/27/2010 12:20:17 AM
lol if the school has some other pink out thing planned
9/27/2010 12:24:36 AM
Coach V dies from cancer and then Coach Yow dies from cancer and you kids can't see past a little pink to organize something that will raise awareness and help raise money for cancer research. Not to mention that your school colors are white and red already. Thats sad.
9/27/2010 12:43:47 AM
Hold the phone. You can get cancer in your breasts? When did this start happening?
9/27/2010 12:44:59 AM
like ^ pointed out, i'm pretty sure everyone is "aware" of cancer. money can be raised at any home game. Thursday night, national tv audience, divisional opponent with potential for huge implications on the ACC title game invitation; from a branding, national consciousness, recruiting standpoint put together the best damn redout ever.fuck, I forgot killpups was a damn ECU troll. my point still stands[Edited on September 27, 2010 at 1:01 AM. 1) Clever message board banter.................................................................check2) Finally get a successful football team......................................................check3) Raise money and awareness for people fucking dying of cancer....................ah fuck 'em.
9/27/2010 5:29:07 AM
Raise money and awareness for people fucking dying of cancer....................................................We do that shit year round. The spring game, for instance.
9/27/2010 6:01:25 AM
It would've been a cool idea, but unless they handed out pink shirts it wouldn't have worked and even then there would've people who wouldn't have worn a pink shirt for whatever reason. If the Athletics Dept. is already planning something then I don't see what the big deal is. We raise money for Cancer in numerous situations throughout the year and our Athletics Dept. is actually legitimately planning something for the first time in who knows how long.
