We recently got a Fresh Berry, a FroYo, and a Yogurt Mountain.Kinda a lot of yogurt action going on.

They are everywhere in california. I kind've wondered why they hadn't caught on everywhere else? Its like business people outside of california see all types of ideas and say "nah, that would be too good"These are self serve places, correct?
9/11/2010 9:00:50 AM
ugh the frozen yogurt fad should have stayed in the 80's.
9/11/2010 1:33:37 PM
http://www.marmaladeskiesfy.com/omgyouresexy was addicted to this place...i, for one, have to resist going in any time i'm in cary
9/12/2010 9:20:10 PM
^ We just got back from there. It is very tasty. I wish I'd looked at all the toppings before I started adding stuff, because as I went along I realized there were things I liked way more than what I'd already gotten.
9/12/2010 9:23:14 PM
What the hell is with this Frozen Yogurt resurgence? I know it suddenly got all popular in California a year or two ago, why is it now the cool thing to eat?
9/12/2010 10:45:42 PM
1. its good as shit and better than ice cream2. there are tons of flavors3. its non fat4. its medicinal for maintaining good digestive health

i have heard this place is good, haven't tried yet though.i'm more excited about going somewhere like marmalade skies. one of the best parts in gboro was this place called feeney's. it is a self serve place with like a million flavors and then a million toppings and they do it by weight.first experienced the glory in NYC last summer. its like fro yo world up there. but this place called 16 handles blew my mind and when i came back to NC i was very sad until i discovered that places like feeney's and MS DO exist here.anyway, i still want to try fresh berry though.

so what is the difference between 1985 frozen yogurt and 2010 frozen yogurt?
9/13/2010 12:40:13 AM
SD and CA has had fro yo for a few years now. I am surprised it just hit over there. I love yogurtland out here. its the best. all places are self serve and majority are .30-.33 an ounce.

What would you say your avg serving costs?
9/13/2010 12:40:43 PM
I go way overboard on anything thats pay by weightHey cool, HT salad bar is 5.99 poundWTF why is my salad 11 dollars?
9/13/2010 2:04:55 PM
My avg serving is about $2.50 (with toppings). ~6.5 oz. I'd say the 4 oz avg serving (w/out toppings) is about right.
9/13/2010 3:52:09 PM
Is Fresh Berry as good as Local Yogurt?
9/13/2010 5:00:11 PM
i wouldn't call fro yo that healthy. esp with the toppings. but i DO like it better than icecream (consistency wise i guess)
9/13/2010 5:06:25 PM
I would say fro yo is as healthier than reg. ice cream. Add everything else and ya fro yo is like a plain salad, then you add dressing and everything else and its an easy way for the salad to become unhealthy.
9/13/2010 6:54:01 PM
i never add anything. why do you want to pay 35 cents an ounce for cookies and nuts?yogurtland is good but its far from the best
9/13/2010 7:21:53 PM
^^ that is definitely true.how many flavors does fresh berry have? it looks just like 4 or 5. i like ones with lots of flavors. i'm not HUGE on toppings so i like a variety of flavors. but i <3 fruit toppings. blackberries, blueberries and raspberries please. typically on NY cheesecake fro yo. omnom.but i don't think that exists at fresh berry, even though i still wanna try it.also wanna go here: http://www.marmaladeskiesfy.com/edit: and by fruit toppings i mean actual fruit, not the syrupy type stuff.[Edited on September 13, 2010 at 7:58 PM. The one on Hillsborough has a big OPENING SOON sign.I NEED BETTER ANSWERS THAN THAT.
10/3/2010 2:13:55 PM
^Where on H-boro is it? Is it down past Player's Retreat?
10/3/2010 5:13:56 PM
across from campus, where that tea place was.
10/3/2010 5:15:25 PM
Their's yet another yogurt place opening in Raleigh. Yogurt Mountain is opening soon at Brennan Station off of Creedmoor Road.http://www.yogurtmountain.com/
10/3/2010 8:04:43 PM
let's try elsewhere for something with absolutely no content other than some pictures of fire
10/6/2010 2:21:18 PM
The one on Hillsborough opens tomorrow.Or you can stumble in there tonight like me and get some free yogurt at the friends and family opening and then act really confused when the owner asks if he knows you.

This seemed like it would be great for dinner so I went up there only to find they were closed early for "maintenance issues"
10/24/2010 9:14:44 PM
So yea.Fresh Berry on Hboro is pretty cool.
10/25/2010 3:01:43 AM
Went to Fresh Berry for the first time, at the first Fresh Berry branch (just a kiosk actually) in the city.Had a blackberry and raspberry smoothie with the Freshberry Tart. It was fucking amazing. If people (and the company) are talking about it being healthy and all, why the hell do they have those candy and cookie toppings? Nasty, if you ask me, especially considering that there are so many real fruit toppings. It is silly to go there and boast that you are eating something healthier than ice cream and then put 64 candy toppings on it.I looked on their site for info about owning a franchise... it will cost at least $165,000
10/25/2010 3:39:48 PM
They should offer shredded zucchini as a topping.
10/25/2010 4:26:10 PM
My wife raves about Pink Berries.I, however, think this is another trend. in a couple years, the market will be saturated with these stores, and they'll be closing all over the place.
