Are my only responsibilities as the seller to:1. Transfer the title (me and buyer sign, notary notarizes, odometer reading, etc)2. Turn in my license plateIs everything else on the buyer, ie new tag, registration, etc or do I need to do anything else?

Is there not some damage disclosure form you have to fill out, or can that be accomplished by simply checking the boxes on the back of the title if the vehicle was never in a major collision, flood, etc?

I'm not going to call you a "fucking idiot" or whatever you'd do if I posted this thread, but here is what I found for you:http://www.ncdot.org/dmv/vehicle_services/registrationtitling/vehiclesSellingDonating.html

Not a requirement, but definitely get a bill of sale for your records. I would include the wording "AS IS" and "paid in full" and get the buyer to sign and date it.

You dont need to do shit, except sign it properly on the back.

I'm pretty sure the old plate of the car I bought 3 years ago is still in the trunk. You think the DMV cares?

Yeah don't forget to cancel your insurance on the vehicle immediately after you sell it.

Returning the plate gives you the right to reclaim a prorated property tax payment from the county.
