i will be attending a few games this year!

It was a failed experiment that got off to a bad start, never got a chance to gain any legs, and was marred by controversy, bad luck, worse PR, and zero patience whatsoever. The Big House might have expanded to become the largest stadium in the football, but it needed to double its size to meet the expectations for Rich Rodriguez to win and win yesterday, even though his style of play was going to require time. Everyone said the right things about the program needing to rebuild with a bit of a facelift, but no one actually believed that or allowed it to happen. Lloyd Carr suffered from Ohio State turning into a superpower, Rodriguez suffered from trying to turn IBM into Apple, and now it’ll be up to Les Miles to get the superpower back on track with about ten minutes worth of grace period.

Well said, Pete Fiutak.
7/19/2010 2:12:10 PM
2431 days since Michigan last beat OSU
7/19/2010 2:14:33 PM
^ Oy. Really sickening everytime I see it. I do believe we'll tack on another 365 this year. *sigh*

as much as I hate michigan, and have enjoyed their recent struggles, the Big Ten, college football, and the greatest rivalry in sports are all better when michigan is a top 15 team.
^('cept the parts about enjoying the struggles ;-)[Edited on July 19, 2010 at 3:07 PM. Reason : ]

on October 30th, you're gonna get Roystered
7/19/2010 3:16:08 PM
Gonna be a tough year & schedule:My optimistic prediction:Sat., Sep. 4 vs. Connecticut - WSat., Sep. 11 at Notre Dame - LSat., Sep. 18 vs. Massachusetts - WSat., Sep. 25 vs. Bowling Green - WSat., Oct. 2 at Indiana - WSat., Oct. 9 vs. Michigan State - WSat., Oct. 16 vs. Iowa (Homecoming) - W (I'll be there, have to win?)Sat., Oct. 30 at Penn State - LSat., Nov. 6 vs. Illinois - WSat., Nov. 13 at Purdue - LSat., Nov. 20 vs. Wisconsin - LSat., Nov. 27 at Ohio State - LProbably lose either MSU or Iowa, but hopefully can pull out one of those. I may go to Illinois or Wisconsin, but Wiscy is the weekend of the UNC game....hmm. Wyloch or PackGuitar, you down?Go Blue ! [Edited on July 19, 2010 at 7:55 PM. Reason : .]
7/19/2010 7:50:54 PM
Change Iowa to a loss, and Michigan State is a tossup, leaning to MSU.
7/19/2010 8:23:56 PM
love the thread..... DEFENSE needs to EXIST this season and that should be enough for 8-4... offense was NOT the problem last year... best offense in big ten but couldnt stop shit
7/19/2010 8:28:30 PM
granted I'm biased, but even though their stadium is the biggest in the country, it really lacks character, and for ~110k, it's awfully quiet based on the big bowl design.
7/19/2010 8:31:32 PM
fuck rich rod, fuck les miles, bring us harbaugh
7/19/2010 8:59:49 PM
HAIL TO THE VICTORS!
7/19/2010 10:53:06 PM
if rich rod blows it this year... YES HARBAUGH... les miles can suck it
7/19/2010 11:54:52 PM
Yeah, Harbaugh really dominated the Pac-10 with his 13-14 conference record while Miles struggled in the SEC with a 27-13 conference mark.[Edited on July 20, 2010 at 3:56 AM. Reason : .]
7/20/2010 3:56:03 AM
^ lets be mindful of what they both started with. I'd say either would be good candidates... Can't say I'd see Miles jumping at this point unless he's on bad terms with LSU after this season.
7/20/2010 6:47:30 AM
yea when harbaugh got stanford, they were one of the worst teams in the pac 10. They're primed for a great year too.
7/20/2010 6:55:50 AM
and Les had his chance,,, shows he's not a Michigan Man... so bring on Harbaughbut I still want to see RichRod do well
7/20/2010 8:19:30 AM
7/20/2010 8:25:39 AM
So which ones would you experience before Michigan Stadium, and you better not say Clemson.
7/20/2010 1:45:16 PM
^^ and have you been there? or are you just going off of 2nd hand opinions? It can get pretty damn loud. Ohio Stadium (for the NCSU game) is the only stadium I've been to that is louder, or even in the same ballpark. I'd say FSU & Clemson are the loudest in the ACC.
7/20/2010 2:02:50 PM
it does get pretty damn loud, especially with the towers now... it is just nowhere close to as sustained. fans took too much for granted for 35 years with the team always winning... now the home crowd has to start becoming a 12th man again because we SUCK
7/26/2010 1:20:03 PM
^^ been there, with ^.HIYOOOO!!!![Edited on July 26, 2010 at 2:16 PM. Reason : .]

If you went after the Michigan-App St game, you should have had a shirt/sign saying at least we could beat App st.
7/26/2010 2:35:38 PM
pretty sure they went before that game
7/26/2010 2:36:24 PM
before. it was Michigan vs Michigan State, 2 days after NCSU beat FSU on thursday night in carter finley (which marked our last acc win in a very very very long time)."Daniel Evans...ICE!"- chuck amato
7/26/2010 2:37:45 PM
Ok. That's one good think about Thursday night State games. You can go to other games that weekend.
7/26/2010 2:48:12 PM
^^ that was the day clemson came back in the 4th against wake too...nc state AT clemson this year, we GO!!! textile bowling
7/27/2010 9:22:54 AM

michigan to potentially play bama on neutral site in 2012... hope it happens, would make up for a WEAK non-conference schedule next yearhttp://www.freep.com/article/20100808/SPORTS06/100808027/1054/U-M/Bama-game-not-imminent

9/4/2010 9:07:42 AM
offense looks amazing
9/4/2010 4:48:37 PM
Offense looks good, defense while definitely improved still needs a little work, but that's to be expected in week one. Thankfully UCONN has been shooting themselves in the foot a lot.And as I type that UCONN goes for 47 yards with the receiver bobbling the hell out of the ball.
9/4/2010 4:57:19 PM
great win... offense still dominant just like last yeari get sick of hearing about the offense, when defense will determine success

9/5/2010 1:49:07 AM
I've been to Clemson and VT, but have yet to go to FSU. Lane stays the most consistently loud when compared to Memorial Stadium, but is louder. When Carter-Finley is rocking it seems nearly as loud as Lane in fact.[Edited on September 5, 2010 at 2:15 AM. Reason : ]
9/5/2010 2:15:46 AM
Boozie I agree that Lane is loud, definitely in the top 3. Obviously its just going to come down to what opponent each team is playing on that given Saturday. I would rank it 3rd overall, but its still a loud, raucous place to play.CF in @ #4 ! [Edited on September 5, 2010 at 8:37 AM. Reason : oh... and GO Blue ! impressed with that win... now must take it to the Irish ]

TAKIN' IT TO 'EM.Keep it up!!!!
9/11/2010 5:34:02 PM
Must score on this possession to put it away. Must.
9/11/2010 6:37:48 PM
Good god almighty Shoelace.
9/11/2010 6:41:22 PM
I am pretty effing sick of hearing about Shoelace and the story behind the nickname...
9/11/2010 6:43:40 PM
Until he stops getting more carries than all the RBs combined and torching defenses, expect to keep hearing about it.
9/11/2010 6:47:21 PM
HAIL, BABY!!!!!!!!!!!
9/11/2010 7:19:49 PM
nicely done- way to take out those pesky irish!
