anyone used a free online service that has worked well for you? looking at:

- quicksnipe (formerly esteal, https://www.quicksnipe.com/)
- gixen (http://www.gixen.com/)
- smartsnipe (free during beta, https://www.smartsnipe.com/)

to be fair, the only thing it does is keep someone from having another chance to bid against you if their max wasn't high enough...and if they were willing to spend the money to begin with, it should be their max in the first place...and by "their," i'm referring to myself, as well

the idea of giving out my ebay user name and password to another site makes me a bit nervous...i've had the same account since 2000, and i cherish my 100% rating

I used a free sniper a few years ago. It worked pretty well, only failed once.

eSnipe.com has served me well over the years. They recently rolled out a new Firefox addon too that makes the process pretty effortless.
