Not since I've moved...so, not for the past month.

Once I get a set schedule, though...hell yes.

He has a dog now?

On second thought, that could be easily misinterpreted.

After working on a Habitat build earlier this year, I realized I would never want to buy a house that I knew had been built by them if it meant people like me were involved in the construction

Nope. I'd like to blame it on the fact that I work 65 hours/week, but even when I worked a regular 40-hour week, I didn't. I'm just a shitty person I guess.

Indeed. I volunteer with the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo which raises mucho dinero to give Texas kids scholarships to college.

I also do the MS150, less "volunteer" and more raising money for charity.

I've tried getting involved in this literacy program but I've had a conflict with every training they have scheduled for several months.

Just finished my last day volunteering at the Duke Lemur Center. In a few weeks, I'll be volunteering at the National Zoo.

I volunteer incidentally when the organizations I have been involved with need people and I'm free. Which seems to be a lot less than I'd like.

I should volunteer more. I did at the humane society's shelter, but we moved away and I've been lazy.

moving away is a stupid reason tho.

The National Day of Service is coming up. Now would be a great time to get out there and volunteer if you weren't already planning on it.

Thanks for BTTTing this just in time, aea!

I'd like to get back in to Relay for Life (I was a team captain for 5 years, and my mom was chairwoman for our county's relay for 3 so I was very involved), and a friend says I would really enjoy volunteering for jimmy v so I'm gonna look in to it for next year.
