6/29/2010 10:10:47 PM

6/29/2010 10:15:20 PM
anyone else a little worried that Javi is the only one along with Deshawn that isn't doing this?Maybe he's spending time in Puerto Rico this summer.[Edited on June 29, 2010 at 10:37 PM. Reason : a]

6/29/2010 11:58:12 PM
hey, Mike Bell is still alive...good to know.
6/30/2010 2:48:20 AM
Why the hell is Kevin Durant playing? I thought this was limited to players that are either from or played college ball in NC. Am I missing something?
6/30/2010 9:30:31 AM
Harrow is neither from NC nor has he played college bball in NC
6/30/2010 9:59:43 AM

6/30/2010 10:08:47 AM
why not have Durant in there? if he wants to play in it are they going to tell him "no, that might bring more attention to our tournament than we want"?
6/30/2010 10:17:55 AM
I hate that I won't be able to make any of the Tuesday games
6/30/2010 11:10:30 AM
I left out in my post that it also includes current college players in NC and current recruits and incoming freshmen into NC schools. There TKE, that takes care of Harrow. BTW, he played in Concord the first couple of years of high school at Cannon HS.I don't have a problem bringing attention to the tourney. Just wondering why they're bringing in Durant. I mean fuck, why not invite Lebron and Kobe if anyone can play?
6/30/2010 11:27:01 AM
6/30/2010 7:30:30 PM
fwiw a lot of the bigger names on the rosters never show up
6/30/2010 7:42:47 PM
yeah they'd be lucky to get durant to even show for 1 game
6/30/2010 7:44:00 PM
yeah there is no way Durant, Felton or Wall are gonna show upSean May probably will since he has nothing else to do
6/30/2010 7:45:45 PM
Where's nutpuncher? As for Durant, Oak Hill is like 10 minutes from NC. I live about 20 minutes from there. Maybe that's why he's on the team.[Edited on June 30, 2010 at 7:47 PM. Reason : ]

7/1/2010 12:52:04 PM
Just got a text with this pic:so yeah, he's there.
7/1/2010 7:20:19 PM
Wall is here but not playing. Brown, Irving, Harrow and Singler didn't show.
7/1/2010 7:23:26 PM
^According to Hodge's tweets early, Harrow and Brown had to miss because of freshman orientation. LAME
7/1/2010 7:24:09 PM
I thought it was worse that CJL wasn't at orientation. Apparently hasn't been cleared yet which apparently cites the slowness of the clearinghouse. At least I hope so.
7/1/2010 8:43:23 PM
Powell, and Fells showed up wearing their NCSU gear. CJ and Tracy played well, CJW played pretty well also, but to be honest it wasn't much more than organized pick up. Uchebo didn't play much in the 2nd half, I missed the first half though. CJW was playing with Barnes, Henson and Bullock. Bullock didn't really impress me too much, Henson played well, but had a good 5 inches on the tallest guy on the other team and Barnes is going to be a star. Guy did just about everything well.

Rivals and PackInsider have good highlight videos. Smith looked solid, as usual. I'd rather him stay away from the fade-away jumpers. He's at his best banging down low in the post.CJL looks athletic and talented - he's a walking springboard just waiting for a missed shot-putback. Good compliment to Smith down low. His dribble-drive penetration will be tough to defend next year.Uchebo looked pretty good too, cleaning up the boards and pulling down rebounds. He's still raw and new to the game, but has a big body. If Hodge is in Raleigh next summer, I'd want him to work with Uchebo on post moves.Purvis looked exceptionally well, especially for just finishing his FRESHMAN year in high school. I really hope we can land him. I didn't realize, but Scout.com already has him ranked the #1 shooting guard in his class.I cannot wait to get Harrow and Brown in the gym and see how they play with the rest of the team.
7/2/2010 10:20:17 AM
Yeah, I wonder if Tracy was working on the fadeaway jumpers more to just try and add that to his game. If he's going to be playing the 4 more next year then that's something he could be trying to add. The good thing is that CJ should be able to help clean up any misses that go high off the rim, the one put back dunk he had off of Tracy's missed jumper was ridiculous.
7/2/2010 10:30:50 AM
I think Smith said he was going to put a lot of emphasis on practicing his shooting. That has to be the weakest part of his game.
7/2/2010 10:32:27 AM
reading packinsider, it says smith took a fucking 3! and made it
7/2/2010 11:02:15 AM
hansbrough style or manute bol style? style matters.
7/2/2010 12:18:27 PM
yeah smith made a three. and we got to see smith puttin up one of his very soft shots that stayed on the rim forever...and then cjL came out of nowhere and slammed the shit out of it. that will be happening lots next year. so whether or not tracy can make that shot for NCSU's purposes wont be too big of a deal, but in terms of him getting drafted...
7/2/2010 12:21:06 PM

i'm glad our new guys are getting to play a lot together and with the returning players. there is really no reason at all why we shouldn't at least be top-3 in the ACC this year
7/6/2010 9:28:58 AM
Youth could be a big factor, but I'm still hopeful

CJ Leslie putback dunk puts them up by 1 and harrow hits 1-2 FTs to win by 2
7/6/2010 10:31:46 PM
Didn't watch the game, but glanced at the messages. It appears:-Harrow was unstoppable; 25 points.-CJ had a game-winning dunk, but seems to suck at free-throws-Zo had some brilliant moments, but turns the ball over a lot-The good Courtney Fells showed up tonight
7/6/2010 10:39:18 PM
I heard that Harrow had a nasty baseline dunk as well.
7/7/2010 12:43:57 AM
watched the rivals videos...CJL had some just sick nasty moves where he explodes thru 2 people on the break and then dunks it in someone's face. Ryan and LoBrown (at least from what I saw) look just as in control as ever, very smooth. Especially Ryan when he gets anywhere near the basket.
