If you leave it there for a few days they'll probably tow it for you. You might not like the results though. That's probably close enough to just hook up a tow strap and pull it slowly, right? I don't think you'd burn up the tranny in 3.5 miles at a low speed or anything like that.

whats wrong with it. can there be a fix in the parking lot?

I've pulled motors in parking lots before. It can be fixed.^^It's not the tranny you should be worried about in Cary. It's the cops and the 20 soccer moms that will call them.[Edited on June 25, 2010 at 12:46 AM. Reason : .]

i don't want to dick around, just tow it and where it will be towed to is within walking distance of my house.its either a dead battery or most likely the alternator. won't even jump. I will call cricket today

Neither a dead battery nor a bad alternator would prevent it from being able to be jump started. When you tried to jump it did the engine turn over at all?

no, just wra wra wra it MIGHT be the battery terminal??

Could be a variety of things....if it's turning over, its likely not the battery...Clogged fuel filter/bad fuel pump is my guess.

it seems to just go click click click inside the cab and i am not sure if the battery terminal is the issue. i will try that and if that is not it again, i will need to get it towed. i will call cricket i think.......[Edited on June 25, 2010 at 10:01 AM. Reason : off to advance]

If it was turning over really slowly you probably just need to make sure the jumper cables are making really good contact with the battery posts, let it sit for a few minutes with the cables connected so you get a little charging effect from the good battery to the bad one, and make sure the vehicle with the good battery is running with the engine revving a little so the alternator is producing power. If it's turning over at the normal speed then probably a fuel issue or something.

I mean when I opem the door all I hear is click click click and the lights will go off. Also the guages all fluctate from the lowest positions to the normal line and click. I just tried a new batt terminal and may try to jump again. Sigh. At least it's at work and I just ride my bike. It's too hot to be working on this outside
