Does anyone have any company recommendations?

Looking for 8 mailboxes with about 5 gigs of storage each.

Quick question though, does hosted exchange servers allow for calendar sharing, dynamic task management, and document hosting?

rackspace has exchange hosting. i haven't used it, but in general rackspace is pretty reputable

Depending on how deep you'd want to go with it, you might find that Google Apps might serve this need well, for only the cost of registering a domain name (if you don't already have one). They handle most of what you just described well, plus have the web interface for everything. I use Google Apps' Exchange-like features to push e-mail and calendar items, and find it works very well.

^ yup, google apps is pretty compelling option if you don't NEED exchange. i've used it several times for small groups like that and it worked great.

if your users are used to Outlook and would struggle with doing the mental transition to google docs, obviously that is a consideration as well

^ Thing is, they wouldn't have to give up Outlook if they still wanted to use it. Just configure it using Google's instructions and you're done. All they'd be giving up would be the Outlook Web Access component, but Google Mail and Calendar are every bit as powerful and easy to use.

Yes, dont know what you mean, no.

For document hosting you'd want hosted SharePoint (which you can bundle with Exchange).

Not sure what you mean by dynamic task management

Heh, I am guilty of using management terms to describe a technical need.

Assigning a task or to-do list to an user is what I was looking for.

Ah thanks for the recommendation, I got a trial with Rackspace. Kind of sucks I will have to transfer mail records to give it a real trial but anything is better than the POP configuration we have now.

You can do some of that with sharepoint lists. To get deep in task assignment/management, you'll want to add Project Server to the mix.

I've heard that Rackspace's hosted Exchange works well. Intermedia is also a big in that - their website says they are the biggest hosted Exchange provide.

I tried Office 365 myself as a demo, it was so frustrating to sign up for and use that I wouldn't touch it again.

How is it hard to setup? You can even start using it before Office finishes downloading, it takes about 2 minutes
