Really looking forward to seeing if Tiger can put it together or if Phil can take over the #1 ranking.I saw Phil's press conference earlier and he mentioned that the greens are verging on ridiculous, and with no rain in sight it could get ugly this weekend.

I'm pumped, although I'd like to see more golfers than Tiger play this week. TV coverage has been borderline ridiculous. It seemed like they showed 4 golfers all week at the Memorial.

If any non-US player is going to win, I'd like it to be McIlroylink to pairingshttp://www.usopen.com/en_US/scores/groupings/index.html[Edited on June 16, 2010 at 1:09 PM. Reason : ...]

I'm gonna take a flyer and go with KJ Choihomeboy seems like he is ALWAYS in the hunt on the weekend in majors. time for him to cash in.

^ He's due to win a major this year.
6/17/2010 2:39:17 PM
Phil still hasn't made a birdie todayTiger scheduled to tee off in about 45 min
6/17/2010 3:52:19 PM
i was at pebble beach just a little over a year ago and it is so stinking beautiful. i didn't play it. i just did the 17 mile drive and looked around and stuff. the green with the people on it is #18
6/17/2010 4:12:27 PM
this is unfortunate...i was living 1 mile from the course this time last year
6/17/2010 4:40:05 PM
it's weird hearing Sean McDonough as a golf commentator

I wish Chris Berman would die
6/17/2010 5:30:42 PM
one of the highlights of that 30 for 30 doc last night was of him staring blank faced at the camera after learning about the OJ chase"NOBODY circles the wagons like the Buffalo Bills "
6/17/2010 5:34:14 PM
ha that's pretty funny actuallyAnd dammit I meant to watch that
6/17/2010 5:42:55 PM
it's definitely a must-watchit was done quite brilliantly
6/17/2010 5:45:33 PM
i just read the high forecast for today is 54 degrees.. that surprised me..i figured it was warm there
6/18/2010 11:11:49 AM
Looking forward to today's action. Tiger has to play his ass off today to have any chance tomorrow.I lolled pretty hard when they flashed YE Yang's scorecard on the screen yesterday. He went out in 34 and came back in 49. Ouch.
6/19/2010 10:23:47 AM
I'm loving watching the epic collapses on 14. The bitching about "it's not fair" is just that... bitching. If it weren't a fair hole, there wouldn't have been 18 birdies on it. Hit your 2nd shot to w/i 100yds, and since you're in the US Open, you should be good enough to hit a landing spot w/i 20 ft of the pin.LOL's a plenty @ YE Yang
6/19/2010 10:50:29 AM
It is painful to watch these guys struggle on 14... The hardest thing in golf is to play it safe when you have already wasted a shot or two. I must admit i love the sounds the crowd makes as if they have no idea the ball is going to keep rolling.
6/19/2010 12:27:05 PM
15 beers deep, I'd be milking it too...gotta make them feel like they're the only one who fucked up like that
6/19/2010 2:41:27 PM
Tiger can fuck as many people as he wants as long as he entertains me... which currently he is. GO TIGER!
6/19/2010 8:30:14 PM
the 7th hole was just terrible today. the hole location was completely uninteresting and prevented everyone from getting it close. pretty much everyone landed it at the backside of the green, regardless if they hit the middle or front side of the green.ok, besides Johnson (was watching on DVR)[Edited on June 19, 2010 at 9:39 PM. Reason : .]
6/19/2010 9:35:22 PM
I saw glimpses of the old Tiger on the back 9 today...That putt on 17 and his 2nd shot on 18 were
6/20/2010 1:30:29 AM
I shit my pants when that ball on 18 hit the green. That was just fucking stupid. If it were any golfer besides Johnson with that 5 shot lead, I'd bet the house on Tiger. Johnson looked like he's won 10 majors yesterday. Impressive.
6/20/2010 6:50:34 AM
his shot on 18 was video game like, absolutely rediculous
6/20/2010 8:44:50 AM
It would be such a huge boost to Tiger's psyche if he could pull this out today. I'd love to see him or Johnson lift the trophy.I'm thinking 4 under wins it.
6/20/2010 11:10:39 AM
they're calling for good scoring conditions todayi think 6 or 7 under will take it
6/20/2010 11:21:11 AM
Good scoring conditions on a Sunday at the US open may be even par. 6 under may take it, but that would be a DJ win. Nobody goes under 67 today in my opinion.
6/20/2010 3:08:13 PM
anyone else having nbc problems??[Edited on June 20, 2010 at 5:33 PM. Reason : wait maybe its back. twas out for like 5-10 mins]

lol "i can't believe we're still on the air!"after mickelson hits it off a pair of TV/electrical cables
6/20/2010 8:09:28 PM
if tiger would have played halfway decent, he'd have won the tournament... course was tough for everyone today.
6/20/2010 9:12:54 PM
82 for dustin johnson.........yikes
6/20/2010 9:15:18 PM
it was Phil's tournament to winand he decided to forget how to putt
6/20/2010 9:22:39 PM
That fucking sucked. Good for Mcdowell but what a horrible afternoon (night) of golf.
6/20/2010 9:37:25 PM
one of the worst tournaments in a long time. the us open is shit compared to the masters PRECISELY because of today's back nine. thank god for the masters.
6/20/2010 11:58:25 PM
why did the grass look like shit...is it supposed to be like that?
