I'm looking at purchasing a car in the Fayetteville area soon, and before I make a purchase, I'd like to take the vehicle to a mechanic for a prepurchase inspection. Does anyone in here have a positive experience to share with one of the local mechanics? I'd appreciate a few good suggestions on places to take the vehicle.

Automotive Performance has some reliable people. They're located next to the Big Lots on Raeford Road (near Owen Drive/All-American).

They've always been straight-forward with me and were thorough when doing repairs. My family and I have taken vehicles there several times for pre-purchase inspections and they've been very honest.

Mind you, it's been a couple of years since I've needed their services, but they had a good head on their shoulders when I needed them.
