It's well known that facebook never deletes anything. At most, the reference to the image gets removed from their database. Wouldn't the actual image url last forever, or years at least? Should have enormous bandwidth too. There has to be a way to exploit this.

nah i've had deleted photos on there get removed from the server. it took a year or so, but it eventually happened

Free image hosting for your high traffic websites ... ftwby that, I mean your website background images/logo images/large size, slow loading images ... I am almost sure facebook does it better than my shared hosting space would ... right?[Edited on June 3, 2010 at 7:58 AM. Reason : .]

That's what I'm thinking. The next time I submit something that could blow up to reddit/digg/etc, all images will be hosted by facebook.
