I searched everywhere and couldn't find any topics from when they announced that this would be happening, but it's coming up in a couple weeks.Raleigh Lineup, effective June 8: http://www.timewarnercable.com/MediaLibrary/4/144/Content%20Management/Documents/CDL/Ral_Dur_CHill_Cary_Golds_WForest_Wils_Gar_Sel_Carr_Hend_Young_Bunn.pdfFayetteville/Southern Pines Lineup, effective June 2: http://www.timewarnercable.com/MediaLibrary/4/144/Content%20Management/Documents/CDL/Fayetteville_Suothern%20Pines_Dunn.pdfGreensboro Area Lineup, effective June 22: http://www.timewarnercable.com/MediaLibrary/4/144/Content%20Management/Documents/CDL/EntireGreensboroArea.pdfEastern NC, effective nowhttp://www.timewarnercable.com/MediaLibrary/4/144/Content%20Management/Documents/CDL/Wilmington_Southport_Brunswick%20Co.pdfChannels are in categories now and go like this (via gogoraleigh):100s – Local Programming – all OTA channelsLower 200s – Kids & FamilyUpper 200s – Learning & Discovery, Faith & InspirationLower 300s – EntertainmentUpper 300s – Home & Leisure, ShoppingLower 400s – News & InfoUpper 400s – Music (not Music Choice)500s – Sports600s – Movies700s – Premium Movies, PPV800s – International900s – Music Choice1000s – HD version of the exact same channel with 3-digitsThey're all about the same thing, which is one of the nice things about this. The only difference in channel numbers from area to area now is area specific channels or areas that certain divisions may or may not have. So it's nice that I can go to the beach and not have to remember the different channel lineup. The main reason for the change is to make it easier to find the HD channels, which is just 1+the SD channel. It appears the two digit numbers will stay the same, for now, but will be eventually removed.Sorry if this was posted somewhere, couldn't find it.

how is this going to affect the tv in my bedroom that doesnt have a cable box? that tv only goes up to channel 125 or something, I'm gonna be pissed if I have to get a box in every room just to watch tvalso, what is up with NBA TV? Looks like its on the same tier as MLB Network, which I get now, is that a new network that is all NBA, all the time? Maybe NFL network will follow suit sometime soon and join TWC
5/25/2010 8:45:11 PM
NBA tv has been around a while mang
5/25/2010 8:46:03 PM
for free? I know its been around for a while, but I thought it was one of those subscription only channels. It looks like its a "free" channel just like MLB Network now according to the channel listing and tier colors
5/25/2010 9:28:47 PM
NBA tv has been free for a while mang

5/26/2010 8:30:17 AM
funny how that works out isn't it?makes perfect sense to completely remove all channels below 100
5/26/2010 8:35:53 AM
@ DROD: TWC changed us over in the Charlotte area a couple of months ago, and I don't have a box in my bedroom either, but nothing changed on that TV. All the channel #'s are still the same so you should be fine.I actually like the new set up now that I have the channels memorized. It ends being way more organized than the previous lineup after you get used to it.
5/26/2010 8:57:00 AM
I love ppl coming in and complaining about something without even reading the whole topic.
5/26/2010 10:41:56 AM
my favorite channels no longer form their own list..... (this happened around the last update a few weeks ago...)
5/26/2010 12:31:44 PM
5/26/2010 12:34:05 PM
I wish they would have channels A La Carte. I do not want to pay $Texas for fifty billion channels that I will never watch. Realistically there are 5 maybe 6 channels that i regularly watch ( or would like to watch) that I can not get OTA. TWC should have options besides, basic cable (which is OTA plus a few garbage channels), such that occasional watchers do not always get stuck subsidizing fat middle aged moms, kids, old people who do nothing but watch TV all day.I maybe watch TV 4-6 hours a week MAX (not counting football games). The only channels I want are - Over the Air- Comedy Central- History- Discovery- ESPN ( i probably could live w/o this)- HBOUnfortuantly I can not get HBO w/o buying the "premium" plan to get 500 channels.
5/26/2010 12:44:37 PM
SEGRAGATION
5/26/2010 12:55:52 PM
^^that's why they won't ever do that unless forced by the FCC somehow[Edited on May 26, 2010 at 1:18 PM. Reason : everyone would]
5/26/2010 1:16:48 PM
Yeah what is this shit. My favorite channels are all screwed up now. I actually have to scroll through all the channels to get to what I want to see. Dammit.
5/26/2010 1:34:45 PM
5/26/2010 1:35:38 PM
lullz, now i want to see that
5/26/2010 1:45:26 PM
Eh its just the digital channels. We arnt worthy enough on campus to get that. Fuck TWC and campus Tv for removing that from us.
5/26/2010 2:48:07 PM
^campus is changing over to IPTV over the next couple years, eventually providing HD channels I think.
5/26/2010 3:59:56 PM
They said that 3 years ago and started doing a pilot. It fell apart and nothings been done since. I call BS. I also ask why they feel like they have to remove the HD native channels from the TWC feed.
5/26/2010 11:27:34 PM
eh well they are really starting to get around to it now, i think.[Edited on May 27, 2010 at 6:07 PM. Reason : or so i've been told. i don't know what the timeline is though]Status (May 10): Phase I - Limited pilot of 8 channels in 20+ academic/admin buildings has been completed.Phase II - Residence hall pilot. Pilot 20+ channels in all residence halls and expand phase I pilot in academic/admin buildings. Pilot starts May 2010 in limited areas with full deployment in August.Phase III - Replace existing CATV system with IPTV. Early planning has begun.[Edited on May 27, 2010 at 6:08 PM. 5/31/2010 11:12:52 PM
wonder what time this goes into effect
6/7/2010 11:44:26 PM
I'll be up all night waiting for the change to occur. It's the end of an era.
6/7/2010 11:50:14 PM
people that are all like "ohhh ill just program them to my favorite channels"bitches, do yall cycle through all your favorites every time you change the channel?
6/7/2010 11:54:04 PM
you'll only make mistakes for like a few weeks or so "i want to watch espnhd, i will click 285, whoops its now channel 1500"...you'll get used to it...you will also figure out which channels you really need to watch in hdi have memorized ESPN, TNT, ABC, NBC...thats about it...but my baseball package starts at 555!
6/7/2010 11:57:36 PM
i printed out there new lineup and have been circling channels that are separate from other stuff i would watch, like com central and amchd
6/8/2010 12:00:37 AM
is there a comedy central HD or something?
6/8/2010 12:03:36 AM
OK maybe you guys can help me because I cant seem to find the answer on TWC's website. What is the difference between Digital Access and Digital Cable? I just want ESPN for the World Cup and Digital Access is $20 cheaper.
6/8/2010 12:09:03 AM
I think digital access is just local channelsSomewhere on the site is list of channels that shows you what's in each packageIt's color coded n shit
6/8/2010 12:19:53 AM
yeah according to the twc person i talked to a few days ago they decided to eliminate the separate listing of favorite channels.... they claimed that it was "causing confusion" or some bullshit.... apparently they have gotten a LOT of complaints about it so hopefully a update soon bringing it back, (it's just a software switch)but definitely call in to TWC and complain about it if you haven't the more complaints the better![Edited on June 8, 2010 at 10:39 AM. 6/8/2010 10:38:21 AM
6/8/2010 5:16:12 PM
there needs to be a way to hide all the channels I don't get/want. I don't like the MLB extra innings being in the middle of the sports lineup and I def don't like all the HDOD movies being listed before HBO, etc....lotta scrolling. Also, TWC grouping together in categories makes the deficiencies stick out...only two music related HD channels..
6/9/2010 10:13:02 AM
I'm gonna give them a call to complain and threaten to disconnect. Then I'm actually going to do it barring some incredible deal, because I hate TWC.
6/9/2010 10:24:19 AM
^^, ^ they used to have that with favorites, then they "got rid of it to reduce confusion because not everyone knew all the new channels that were coming out" weak
6/9/2010 10:53:02 AM
I just upgraded to Digital Cable yesterday from their broadcast service, and some of our channels are not coming in, like ESPN (SD AND HD). I am hoping its just because of all the confusion with the new lineup going into effect. I might call anyway and see why its not coming in. My family has DirectTV at home, and I must say their interface is so much better. However living in an apartment means I would have to have a satellite IN my screened in porch...
6/9/2010 11:01:00 AM
mani bet the help lines are somehow even worse than their already atrocious customer serviceit just caused my brain to melt thinking about it
6/9/2010 12:15:53 PM
yeah i definitely do not call twc for "help"
6/9/2010 12:24:42 PM
I'm looking for a bit of education here since I only have over the air stations. Why do they even have a standard definition channels anymore? Take WRAL for example. If they're just going to be showing the exact same programming on both the SD and HD channels why even bother having a SD channel? An old SD TVs can still show the HD channel (but with no benefit of the content being HD), so it's not like they have to keep it around for older sets. They can still broadcast SD content over HD channels, so it's not like they have to keep it around for older shows.Just curious because occasionally I'll go over to someone's house that does have cable and they'll be watching the SD version of the program because that's what channels they have memorized. E.g. 31=ESPN. It looks like crap on a 40+" TV, so I always search out the HD channel that has the same thing. It seems like it would be easier to just drop the SD version, replace channel 31 with the HD version and call it a day. Now there's multiple channels where there are essentially a bunch of channels that are inferior duplicates. So, to reiterate... why continue to provide SD channels if there are HD equivalents that they are already broadcasting?[Edited on June 9, 2010 at 1:11 PM. Reason : -]
6/9/2010 1:07:31 PM
^that's what they are trying to eventually get to, and that's part of the reason for this change. the numbers under 100, analog channels that take up massive amounts of bandwidth and the reason the HD channel additions have been limited, will be eliminated just as soon as they figure out a way to deal with houses that do not have cable boxes, and converting their signals back to analog at the house or TV.with cable boxes, there really isn't a reason they can't get rid of them I would think. I don't understand why they don't do like DIRECTV has it set up myself... you put in the channel and it figures out the SD/HD part for you
