http://www.weather.com/outlook/weather-news/news/articles/may-coastal-concern_2010-05-21?page=2First chance of the year. Probably way too early too have something too organized, but I figured I'd get this thread started.

It's gonna rain oil ITT
5/22/2010 10:12:58 AM
Hopefully the West Pacific storms will be at a minimum. North Atlantic storms I don't mind so much.
5/22/2010 10:49:27 AM
how will oil rain in a thread? I NEED ANSWERS!
5/22/2010 2:38:40 PM
I'll be on the beach in Corolla all summer, hope it isn't too bad
5/22/2010 2:46:40 PM
Will we have Hurricane Alex by the end of today??Looks like it won't really impact the US. Mainly Mexico.
6/29/2010 12:44:00 PM
6/29/2010 11:20:33 PM
Nothing too big, but it could provide some issues with pushing the oil slick back towards the coast quicker..
7/23/2010 9:06:51 AM
Who else remembers getting out of school early in Wake County back in 1998 for then Hurricane Bonnie?
7/23/2010 9:13:34 AM
^^more than likely it'll help the situation, quickening the natural dispersal of the oil in the water.I love how this TS is getting a lot of attention already...seems the news organizations are always hungry for this shit.
7/23/2010 9:27:02 AM
^If it wasn't going right over the spill site I don't think anyone would really care.
7/23/2010 1:41:16 PM

Earl is Category Four, expected to hit Five."North Carolina's Cape Hatteras is still in the bulls-eye for the closest landmass to Earl's trajectory."So my hometown.Fuck it.
8/30/2010 11:56:04 PM
and the are inching the track closer and closer to NC with every update
8/31/2010 12:08:41 AM

8/31/2010 12:10:14 AM
excuse me?
8/31/2010 12:10:40 AM
get things ready, I have a feeling Earl is gonna hit.showing it brushing now...the more it stays on this same track and doesnt hang a more northerly path the more chance we get a hit.
8/31/2010 1:01:44 AM
A great website to track all the storms at once:http://www.stormpulse.com/
8/31/2010 8:04:52 AM
I often wonder if it makes me a bad person to love to follow these and hope they make landfall in the US. I have family in New Bern but other than that nothing in the real danger zone of these things and I know they really hurt people on the coast, but I like them

8/31/2010 3:03:27 PM
While I dont advocate or hope that a storm hits land, I have no control over it. So if it is going to happen Im gonna make the best of it and enjoy it for what it is .
8/31/2010 3:06:11 PM

8/31/2010 4:09:14 PM
Pat, hit me up if you do come out. Rumor is the weather channel folks said that their models are having trouble telling when the storm will swing north. As of now its due around Cape Hatteras early Friday morning as a cat3. They're meeting to determine if they're going to evacuate Ocracoke too.
8/31/2010 4:23:00 PM

8/31/2010 4:51:26 PM
Hurricanes should always strike on weekends during the Fall as God's punishment to the bride and groom for making the rest of us miss football.
8/31/2010 4:51:47 PM
