I'm torn between The Hillsborough Street Area, or Downtown Raleigh... I'm Usually not a big fan of Glenwood South... Who likes what?
5/19/2010 3:14:41 PM
Hillsborough has bars?oh yeah...forgot...all the rundown bars are there. nvm.[Edited on May 19, 2010 at 3:17 PM. Reason : .]
5/19/2010 3:17:14 PM
depends on what you're looking for.Since I'm a beer guy, Flying Saucer is the best for me.
5/19/2010 3:21:38 PM
yes, Flying Saucer rules! Can't beat their Monday Night Special!
5/19/2010 3:33:44 PM
i went through the saucer phase... i dunno ruckus would be my fave cause i've made more friends there than any other bar... but i like dive bar a lot too.
5/19/2010 3:35:59 PM
5/19/2010 3:43:37 PM
jackpot is a good place to go blackout at.
5/19/2010 3:51:13 PM
whatever bar I'm at.
5/19/2010 3:53:49 PM
I prefer the downtown raleigh area since it seems more trendy.......glenwood south would be my second choice........hillsborough st would be dead lasti would like to try out pour house, raleigh times bar, dive, and flying saucer
5/19/2010 4:00:47 PM
the times.the saucer is ok...but it's a chain, and the food isn't that great compared to what you can get elsewhere. seriously if the saucer is the best raleigh has to offer we have problems. i like the beer selection as much as the next guy, but i look for more in a bar. i'd check out fayetteville street..more unique places...historical buildings etc.

Flying Saucer, Busy Bee (and The Hive), Oak City Tavern, The Oxford, The Foundation, and Big Easy are in my regular rotation.[Edited on May 19, 2010 at 4:15 PM. Reason : Times is always too damn crowded, no thanks]
5/19/2010 4:15:35 PM
^^that's why I said beer, not food.

5/19/2010 7:24:51 PM
I tended at Buckhead from opening day til January 08..... wow, what a shit show.I haven't been out in Raleigh in a while... but I do like what they are doing downtown. meh on goat, two thumbs up for pams diner right next to it, not a bar though
5/20/2010 11:34:33 AM
the warehouse district is a dying location due to all the hype glenwood is getting as being "the spot" in raleigh. With the closing of ess and mosquito (now liquid lounge) its gonna need a huge uplift to make it desirable again.
