anybody got a rough idea on cost of finishing a half bath in a new construction? Right now all the hookups are ready for it, just needs the toilet, sink, mirror, towel rack, paint on the wall, and a plumber to hook everything up and get it working.i know i can get a pedestal sink for ~$50-75 and a standard toilet for about the same price. Towel racks obv. are cheap, mirror not sure on. Paint i can do myself. I don't really know what else would be needed thoughthanks

why not just do it all yourself? hooking up toilets and sinks are easy if the plumbing is already there

Spend more than 50 dollars on your toilet. You'll be spending an awful lot of time there over the next several years.

^ if it'll mainly be used by guests get the cheapest most uncomfortable toilet and seat you can find. Don't want them staying too long.

i'm pretty sure i can do most of it by myself, i was just wondering as to how much it would cost me aboutso say i spring for a little upgrade on the toilet maybe $100sink $75mirror $75towel racks $25Coat of paint $25~$300for people that have done this before is that a reasonable price? I was guessing in my head maybe $500

if all you're concerned about is the price of the materials, why not just go online and look at prices at lowes, home depot, etc.?[Edited on April 28, 2010 at 12:53 PM. Reason : simple tasks complicated itt][Edited on April 28, 2010 at 12:54 PM. Reason : also, you can find good deals on this kinda stuff at the habitat for humanity store]

i'd estimate $500 so you have an allowance for parts you dont think you need / things you ruin
