I'm quite tired of paying so much $$$ to Verizon. I was in Walmart the other day, and stumbled upon the Straight Talk phones that offer an unbelievably cheap unlimited Voice/Txt/Data plan for $45/month, No Contract! I looked up the reviews online, and saw many people claiming that the company uses Verizon towers to run its network. A salesclerk verified this claim when I asked him about it. I want to know if any of you guys have picked one of these up or know someone who has?

I cannot wait for my contract to be over!!!

clark howard recommends straight talk. it's supposed to have great service, for a great price (which you have seen). It's strictly a walmart thing (for now).

the only issue I've heard with them is that they grew so fast that their customer service couldn't keep up. Supposedly they've fixed/are fixing this by hiring 1,000s of new CS reps.
