Nothing was particularly complex, but I think it was something about the sound itself son.

I really don't know either. It's not bad though, just not anything you could really call "genius" either.

Layne Staley died 22 years ago today.

The circumstances around Layne Staley were so sad. I recall hearing that his body wasn’t found until several weeks after he OD’d. That means nobody missed this guy enough in the span of a couple of weeks to check up on him.

As far as Nirvana being revolutionary…I think everybody was just tired of big hair glam bands. Nirvana was not the only show in town at the time - Metallica’s black album was just as popular, if not more so, than Nevermind.

yeah... the aftermath and commercial cloning of all of those bands was so insane that people don't realize how fresh it all sounded in the beginning anymore, unless you were around at that time.
