couldn't find a thread for the sequel. I had never even heard of this (1 or 2) until a few days ago. Looked pretty interesting so I picked it up. I have not been able to put it down. Feels like GTA plus spiderman and way better graphics. I'm playing it on PC, using the mouse/keyboard for on-foot action, and a USB xbox 360 controller for vehicles (especially helicopter).info:http://www.justcause.com/http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Just_Cause_2http://ps3.ign.com/objects/862/862519.htmlhttp://www.gamespot.com/xbox360/action/justcause2/index.htmlhttp://www.1up.com/do/reviewPage?cId=3178452screens:

i havent played it yet myself. are the vehicles controls playable with keyboard/mouse? or are they really bad? i was fine for GTAIV and before investing the time, i'd like to know if it's about the same for controls.

I never played the first game but I played the demo and it seemed pretty cool...wasn't a big fan of the controls though

^^ pretty much the same controls as GTA, if you could handle those vehicles with mouse/keyboard you'll be OK in jc2.

I played part 1 for the first time about two weeks ago when I saw that this one is coming out. This one is way better than part 1. No contest. The only minor complaints:1) It's very difficult to 100% complete all the locations just because they'll be this tiny thing like an electricity transformer hidden somewhere that you've got to destroy. I've wasted quite a bit of time hunting down things. Maybe they'll come out with a mod (PC) like they did for Vice City where the packages, and more importantly destructibles, have a beacon of light coming out.2) Really minor. Get rid of the call for extraction cut scenes and maybe reduce the prices for weapons to make them scale with the price of the vehicles. Ie if a truck with a mini gun mounted on it costs $500,000 then a pistol shouldn't cost $400,000.[Edited on April 1, 2010 at 5:54 PM. Reason : -]

I watched some videos of someone play the demo, and I've never seen voice acting that bad in my life.

The review from Joystiq for this game was spot on. Quite possibly the best sandbox style game ever. But pretty horrible when it comes to actually being a fun game to play. I spent probably 10 hours just driving/flying/boating/para-sailing around to places and blowing shit up and had an absolute blast. But the missions are pretty boring and repetitive.

^^No question there. It's so bad I've got to think it was intentionally bad.Miss "Call me now for your free readin" Cleo did a better job and the main protagonist sounds like Triumph the Comic Dog... for me to poop on.

If you have not heard, fan made multiplayer mod is doing a beta test this weekend. If you got the game and want to fool around in JC2 with other players, now is the time. Pretty much JC2 MMO with 1200+ players. Give it a try. Only need to DL a 1MB client to log on.http://www.jc-mp.com/

Have had this game for about a year now, I'm probably at around... 50% completion? Not entirely sure since I only play it at my dads house. I do know that I've destroyed all those damn industrial chimneys.. Hate those things. >:[

Just Cause 3 is out now. Got it for PC.Seems like it would be awesome, and I'm still enjoying it some, but the optimization on PC is terrible.I'm getting framerates of 18-25 on medium settings, when Mad Max, which came out just a couple of months ago and is from the same developers using the same engine, is locked at 60 fps on high.
