Posting this for a friend. Colony Tire wants $1400 for it. Anyone on here capable of doing this for less?

i had the entire head, rear main seal and clutch replaced at a shop and it only cost $1400

seems high for just a gasket replacement

is anything bent?

I'm just going on coworkers description. I think that was the quote over the phone without seeing the car. IE: it's the book hours quote.

Coworker is looking for someone to price it not by the book.

Then you should have the quoting shop look at the car. They're not going to give an off-the-book price without seeing the actual condition of the engine.
