Refurbished value of the tv is $750 from Amazon (incl shipping) - so yeah my price is right. I can negotiate on the price with serious adults who are interested in buying this.

There is no 1080p 120Hz Samsung LCD TV (Amazon, Ebay whatever) for ~ $700.
The closest thing on Ebay is
http://cgi.ebay.com/Samsung-40-inch-LN40B550-HDTV-LCD-TV_W0QQitemZ360245721680QQcmdZViewItemQQptZTelevisions?hash=item53e0517a50

which is $600 Buy it now price + $150 shipping and it is not even a 120Hz LCD and it does not have the S panel which is the original Samsung panel without any viewing angle problems.

please don't make useless comments without even knowing what you are looking at, or knowing the prices of the comparable TVs.

Email if you have a reasonable offer or questions. rpjpswansong@gmail.com

well refurbished means a warranty is provided...which yours doesnt have. Also the TV from ebay is the next generation (or maybe two) after yours so you arent comparing apples to apples.

but i am seriously interested in buying it if you want to negotiate over PM or something.

but hell those are all brand new, with warranty, which makes them much more valuable than yours.

for a true apples to apples, you have to look at the used market.

lol he started at $750: http://raleigh.craigslist.org/ele/1650920495.html

now look you can continue to amuse us, and argue how your used tv is worth $700 (no complaints here), or you can negotiate on the price. if you wish to actually sell it *and* avoid further ridicule, i'd advise the latter. i doubt you'll be able to find a sucker big enough to pay $700 on CL, so that means you're asking *way* too much...cause that place is swimming in idiots.

[ps: welcome to tdub. enjoy your stay. i promise we're normally much nicer ]

gf has the tv in the original post. it's not a bad tv, but the picture quality leaves a bit to be desired compared to the 550 and 650 lines. though I haven't calibrated hers, I find my insignia 42" (that I bought for 700 new nearly 2 years ago) has better color but the samsung has superior de-interlacing
