Be nice, guys. It's a reasonable question. It's not like he's trying to chase down a guy who stiffed him on a credit card transaction over some cheesy merchandise while insulting our odd little community.

I'm also curious. I've always been interested in colocation, but I've never bit the bullet. I've rented a bunch of dedicated servers at this point, but I've yet to really move into colo because it's a lot of "call for prices!" and I don't really know what ballpark I need to be looking at and with the amount of bandwidth I use it always seemed to get really expensive, really quickly.

colo prices vary widely and randomly based on the ammount of space you need, the colo company, any services you buy as packaged deals, and the current temperature in the sales guy's office.Call around, get pricing from multiple colos, ask about discounts and deals related to purchasing other services through the colo company. ex: if the colo is owned by Verizon they'll generally have access to multiple ISPs, but they'll give you a discount on a package deal for the rackspace+verizon internet.

I guess I should continue on by saying as of right now I'm just looking for space for 1 2U server with as much bandwidth for the monies. I already have internet through AT&T (*womp womp*). Do they have any ties to any particular locations around here? (or even atlanta if it's cheaper I guess). I was hoping to do something local... I hear there is a level 3 somewhere around here, I'm just not sure they will offer the pricing of other centers in more major cities.Time to start dialing .If the wolf web doesnt mind ;P, post up any companies that you know of. I'll go down the list on those and the others I already know of.

I have no idea how much they charge, but my company (and a company of a friend) both use Peak10 in Morrisville. Might be worth calling, idk.
