actually, i could watch the ellie stuff at the end again

but the whole stupid action sequence i wanted to shoot myself

the direction was part of that, and the sheer ridiculousness as well

i watched ratatouille again the other night, and the action sequences reminded me immediately of how brad bird is far and away the best director working at pixar

the action sequences are paced perfectly and directed masterfully...no wasted action and they're over before you're bored
