Well, that's good. I'm glad that both parties are working hard to fuck over this country once and for all. I'm confident that with some luck and a little bipartisanship, we can be a third world country by 2020.

83%, that is just sad.Now that I think about it, how does that make sense. If his approval has fallen 4 points from dems, 2 from ind, and 3 from repubs.. how has he fallen 15-20% total?

Holy shit you're stupid, wow.

Republicans work with democrats to pass a tourism bill to increase travel industry to US attractions:http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap_travel/20100304/ap_tr_ge/us_travel_brief_obama_travel_promotion_2

How exactly is this thread defining "bipartisan?"Here's the voting history for the first act on your list:

3/5/2010 2:18:41 PM
And we all know that that's crap.
3/5/2010 2:21:01 PM
Hell, the president will call a bill bipartisan, even when ZERO republicans support itAlso,

"Now that the entire premise of my thread has been shown to be false, let's criticize Obama for things he hasn't done yet!"
3/5/2010 2:24:55 PM
Who's criticizing Obama? This thread is all about praising the cooperative republicans who are working with the democrats to pass important legislation. Your own quote backs this up:
3/5/2010 2:27:25 PM
72 to 23... to invoke cloture. The final vote was 61-36, with 59 of the 61 being Democrats.
3/5/2010 2:28:27 PM
Isn't it nice how the GOP, even if they might disagree with legislation, still allow it to come to the floor for a vote.It really goes to show that they are not just being capricious obstructionists and highlights the fact that when they DO filibuster a bill, its because of legitimate concerns and not out of a desire to simply make the president look bad.[Edited on March 5, 2010 at 2:31 PM. I'm glad this thread is no longer tethered to reality. Let's discuss unicorns.

I'm sorry that your worldview (and apparently your sanity) has been shattered by the knowledge that republicans are not obstructing everything they can.
3/5/2010 2:33:35 PM
3/5/2010 2:40:10 PM
Well, that could just as easily be interpreted as the republicans were much more willing to work with dems when the gop controlled the senate.[Edited on March 5, 2010 at 2:45 PM. Reason : s]

Obstructionism is obstructionism, regardless of motivation. Clearly they think their obstructionism is justified.[Edited on March 5, 2010 at 3:03 PM. Reason : ]
3/5/2010 2:52:17 PM
oh but I thought the "montra" was that gop wasn't obstructing on principle, but rather to just make the prez look bad
3/5/2010 3:46:00 PM
If republicans honestly believe they could run the country if they were in power again, then they could be doing it both on principle and to make the president look bad, since they that believe will help them get into power again. And since when didn't a politician think they would do better than the other guys?
3/5/2010 4:15:35 PM
Yeah sure buddy, let's commend republicans for not obstructing absolutely everything. Further, let's stop calling them obstructionists because of that. That's not fair! They have only doubled the number of filibusters used in any previous congress. I'm sure they had good reason for doing so. I guess you can feel good knowing the GOP isn't completely full of blind partisans who are aligned against Obama and "the socialists."
