you can't be a grown-up without listening to npr YOU CAN'T[Edited on February 17, 2010 at 10:08 AM. Reason : well WUNC <> NPR but you catch my drift]
2/17/2010 10:08:35 AM
I listen to NPR to get good pot brownie recipes, or find out why Toyota is recalling my Prius
2/17/2010 10:09:41 AM
i listen to npr when i'm in the kitchenthat's my state of things
2/17/2010 10:10:01 AM

2/17/2010 10:10:22 AM
I could listen to Frank Stasio gargle blood
2/17/2010 10:10:46 AM
BACK TO THE TOP......WHEN WE DO THE NUMBERS[Edited on March 15, 2010 at 8:46 AM. Reason : thx]
3/15/2010 8:46:16 AM
I don't listen to Frank Stasio very much. But if you'd like to listen to my father talk to Robert Siegel, here you are:http://www.npr.org/templates/story/story.php?storyId=96756705

long ashes to ya....general?

Today, we're talking with Mary Blithely, director of events for A Southern Season.

I've always pictured him as a dude who owns a ton of hats
4/7/2016 2:21:04 PM
He don't wear 'em, though. He just has a lot of hats. Probably schedule a show at the North Carolina Hat Museum in Oakboro.
4/7/2016 2:22:03 PM
tuhbaccuh
4/7/2016 8:31:26 PM
I worked with Frank Stasio's son for almost 5 years; a good guy.
4/9/2016 12:34:02 AM
1234 dawg
4/9/2016 12:35:26 AM
NPR is the worst. Only reason to listen is for Car Talk reruns.
4/9/2016 12:38:06 AM
I feel the same way about NPR
4/9/2016 12:40:26 AM
This is the Diane Rehm show.
4/9/2016 5:41:49 PM
I don't even listen to car talk anymore. Podcasts are where its at. I can narrow my view of the universe exactly how i like :^)
4/9/2016 7:32:02 PM
REMEMBER WHEN SPORTS WERE SPORTS? I DO
4/10/2016 12:06:09 PM
Diane Rehm doesn't sound anything like the Cryptkeeper. His voice is very high and sibilant.
4/10/2016 12:45:29 PM
This guy's show is often pretty boring tbh
4/10/2016 1:59:56 PM
I like the Indian dude's social science segment, though I feel like I rarely hear it.
4/14/2016 8:30:04 AM
That's Shankar Vedantam. The segment you're talking about is usually with David Greene on Morning Edition. You should listen to his Hidden Brain podcast if you like his work.
4/14/2016 8:32:20 AM
Ha, maybe that's why I rarely hear it. I normally listen to sportsy radio in the morning.[Edited on April 14, 2016 at 8:35 AM. Reason : also, his accent is like way cool][Edited on April 14, 2016 at 8:36 AM. Reason : LISSEN]
4/14/2016 8:33:38 AM
It seems like they really like each other. I like the back-and-forth between them. Greene will be all like, "Okay, but that seems completely counter-intuitive." And Vedantam is all, "That's right, David! These results were very surprising!"
4/14/2016 8:35:11 AM
lol.thanks for the info. Now I can look him up; I always forget his name by the time I get home/to the office when I can look him up. I have the memory of a [insert animal that people assume has a bad memory, but in reality, doesn't, but people just want to feel smart by using a metaphor, so they make up facts to fit their need to make themselves think they sound smart].]

4/28/2016 8:45:00 PM
