Yes the list is a bit old but I did not find a thread discussing this. There is so much wrong with this list I dont even know where to start. I take that back, we can start with number 71.

2/17/2010 12:07:37 AM
david bowie is pretty metal.
2/17/2010 12:08:38 AM
This list is fucking retarded.
2/17/2010 12:14:31 AM

2/17/2010 12:14:39 AM
rod stewart is pretty metal as well.
2/17/2010 12:17:16 AM
I agree, that list is stupid. half of those people dont, or baaaaaaarely qualify as metal
2/17/2010 12:19:20 AM
This list could just as easily be called "100 people most likely to wear mesh t-shirts"
2/17/2010 12:20:34 AM
2/17/2010 12:23:57 AM
im totally fine with the number 1 spot, especially since Black Sabbath and Zeppelin are the forefathers of metal
2/17/2010 12:32:18 AM

2/17/2010 12:51:15 AM

"metal vocalist"oxymoron?
2/17/2010 10:26:24 AM
not at all, especially not when termed as "vocalist" vs say "singer". Even then, assuming you're referring to singing, try and tell me someone like Mikael Åkerfeldt or Ronnie James Dio can't sing with the best of them.

^ Haha, the first thing I did when I opened this thread was Ctrl+F: "Dani". Pitch-perfect shrieking ftw. Also, they lost all vestige of credibility when they completely omitted Mike Patton, Tarja Turunen, and Liv Kristine Espenæs. Just noticed that Glen Danzig is missing, too. I would also put Mikael Akerfeldt, and probably Vincent Cavanagh from Anathema.[Edited on February 17, 2010 at 12:00 PM. Reason : Chris Barnes from Cannibal Corpse and Six Feet Under, maybe?]
2/17/2010 11:50:13 AM
this list is brutal

Definitions of Metal are way skewed ITT, and in the list.Rock Vocalists would probably be a better tag.and that being the case, Cornell and Rodgers are too high, Axl Rose and Sebastian Bach are too low, and Freddie Mercury deserves Steven Tyler's spot, and vice versa. Maynard should also be higher... but Hendrix, as much as I love him as a guitar player, doesn't deserve to be on this list.

even though I'm surprised and pleased my man geoff tate got a high ranking, that list isn't very useful
