My freshman year in college.
2 10'' boss subs in ported box.
2 12'' MA Audio subs in sealed boxes.
4 amps under the trunk floor, Kenwood, MA Audio, Lightning audio, and something else.

I was so dumb back them. It was fun, but dumb.

And yes, the subs in the back had blue neon rings that bumped with the beat.

The maxima was awesome.
The setup probably cost me $400 total.
Nothing was matched, though it sounded decent. Could have spent the same amount and bought a single amp and sub of better quality and had the same output.

Back then. more subs = better.

I hear a lot less people blaring subs these days. I'm not sure if it's because people are buying less subs, or if they are just turning them down.

When I was a freshmen, I thought rims and subs were awesome. Now, they just remind me of dumb poor people.

I live in a low-income neighborhood, and every car that has chrome rims is either a P-O-S from the 90s or something newer with a big, glaring flaw - like a massive dent.
