Seems like a good thing overall. I do find myself amused that one of the objections to the program was that farmers were concerned about being sued if contaminated product was traced to them. Such would be the danger of distributing contaminated product. I see no reason why they should be protected from a lawsuit in that instance.Equally I am amused that the meat packers are annoyed that the program was canceled because the blame comes to them first. If they are truly concerned, then they should be tracking where they get their meats from and where it goes. It is not the government's job to do their record keeping for them.
