I'm guessing there were quite a few that the dealerships got returned in full. No repair, just "here, take your car back"
Does this mean there is about to be a glut of cheap toyotas on the market?

I would also like to buy a nice reliable toyota for dirt cheap due to FUD spread by our GM owning government.

Please advise the timing and approximate price range
