bald azenis 300hp no problem
1/29/2010 9:37:28 PM
Azenis suck in the cold regardless... I just blew by a silver s2k on 440. The guy gave me a thumbs up... Btw, wow they look hot with a hard top!Waiting for more snow, though what's on the ground was enough for a 6 car pile up on I 440 at 8:45...

The Porsche.I will be going sideways in it, in approximately 30 minutes

just got in from riding around in the excursion for a couple of hours. didn't even get to lock the hubs. snow/ice is one area where the excessive weight is handy. the bmw is thawing out now. i predict it to be either very entertaining or entirely useless.[Edited on January 30, 2010 at 8:43 AM. Lots of sideways action. I'd post a video, however, I'm lazy so I guess ya'll just missed out. [Edited on January 30, 2010 at 9:59 AM. Reason : .]

How are the roads? The snow seems super powdery so I doubt they're all that bad, but has anyone been out there in normal all seasons that can report?
1/30/2010 12:33:53 PM
Just did about 15 miles in it. No problems. Most roads are about 25mph safe, the highway was clear enough to do about 40.Just be smart and it isn't bad at all. My car does too well in the snow. It stops great, abs works perfectly, and the tires are actually gripping the snow. I can spin tires like none other, but that is about it. I tried to have some fun, and the car told me no. I wasn't really pushing too hard, and I'm still scurrd of crubs and fents.

I drive a fucking sentra, but I think I'll give it a (very slow) go here in a bit
1/30/2010 2:02:48 PM
Bleh, boring.and http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=se3Lio0bg44Video is barely worth watching, just shows traction levels on the highway.Anybody know of a giant parking lot or an empty (unpaved?) road around? Would be much appreciated!

It's days like these that make me wish everything I owned wasn't on summer tires.
1/30/2010 3:26:05 PM
You can still go out on summer tires.... I've done it the last 3 or 4 times it has snowed here and never had problems. Actually, this is the first time in 5 years that I have had all seasons on a car.

Met up with Mark to drift around the Kmart lot, then went over the Xroads movie parking lot. Both lots are getting a bit chewed up now. Did get some cool vids though!

"RALEIGH, N.C. — The slick roads left behind by the weekend winter storm caused about 2,700 wrecks across North Carolina between early Saturday and mid-afternoon Sunday, according to the state Highway Patrol." -From WRAL.As for what I've seen, a few minutes ago is the worst I've seen the roads so far, I imagine tomorrow morning will be very bad. Be careful out there.

http://www.wral.com/news/strange/story/6972758/Sledder, 62, hurt when improvised rocket blows upPosted: Feb. 5 3:24 p.m.INDEPENDENCE TOWNSHIP, Mich. — A 62-year-old sledder looking for a burst of power got it when the homemade rocket strapped to his back exploded, burning him over nearly 20 percent of his body. Oakland County Undersheriff Mike McCabe said the man, whose identity hasn't been released, was hospitalized in stable condition Monday. The man was hosting a Sunday night sledding party when he filled an automobile muffler with gasoline and gunpowder, strapped it to his back and had it lit, seeking what McCabe called "a rocket-launch effect."The device blew up as the man headed downhill, causing second-degree burns to his face and right side of his body and possible eye damage. No charges have been filed against the man, whom McCabe said is known for doing "outrageous things" at his sledding parties.
