http://fifa-world-cup.easports.com/home.actionSo is it safe to buy a used PS3? I want one that can play old games too. I still like playing World Cup 98, 2002 FIFA World Cup, and 2006 FIFA World Cup.

if you want the backwards compatibility you have to get a 1st generation ps3 (full or close to full compatibility) or 2nd generation (partial software emulation compatibility)

^Yeh I know and they seem to be quite popular on ebay right now. I wonder why they quit allowing backwards compatibility. I have a PS2 and enjoy being able to play PS, PS@, CDs, and DVDs without having to hook up 4 different consoles.

The PS3 has been successfully hacked to have backwards compatibility and play pirated games. the former is great the latter is 'grey area'[Edited on January 29, 2010 at 2:10 PM. Reason : on any PS3 not just the ones sony designated as PS2 friendly]

The reviews for this are outstanding... worth the buy?
4/29/2010 10:55:13 AM
More importantly...worth the buy if you already have Fifa 10?
4/29/2010 11:03:27 AM
oh im glad i didnt pick up Fifa 10, but i cant resist this game
4/29/2010 11:15:11 AM
I had FIFA 09 and didn't get 10 because I knew the WC game would be coming out.

Are you trying to make me look like an asshole?

So what regional stadiums do they have this time?
4/29/2010 1:48:33 PM
Amsterdam ArenASantiago BernabéuParc des PrincesStade de SuisseEstadio AztecaOlympiastadionOlimpicoWembleyalong with the 10 finals venues. There are 30 generic stadiums.
4/29/2010 1:58:37 PM
No Crew Stadium on the American version?
4/29/2010 2:40:36 PM
not available for PC
4/29/2010 2:55:37 PM
I think the default stadium for the US is the generic olympic stadium.
4/29/2010 4:01:02 PM
^It would have been nice if they could have added Maracana for Brazil, Port of Spain Cricket Ground for Trinidad, La Bombonera for Argentina, etc. Every team in NCAA football has their stadium in the game every year.
4/29/2010 10:15:52 PM
All the NCAA stadiums are 1. Controlled by the same licensing body and 2. In the same country
4/29/2010 11:10:41 PM
^Good point.
4/29/2010 11:13:32 PM
I, too, tire of playing in Generic English Stadium III
4/29/2010 11:14:39 PM
I have both FIFA 10 and World Cup 2010 and I do not regret buying either. The fact that it's the World Cup and it only comes around every four years is enough reason to buy it, but they did improve the game play and the presentation is pretty awesome.
