Yea, my dad sent me an email about car problems so I wanted to gather advice from all the brilliant car minds in here. Sounds like it lost power suddenly without warning – coasted to a stop – then she turned the key and heard the starter but nothing else. She wasn’t clear about whether the electrical systems were working. Couldn’t tell me if the check engine light was on. Maybe 20 min later, turned the key again and it started. Drove it to a parking area and went in to work.Came out a few hours later, drove from the hospital to Amos and just as she pulled in to the driveway, it lost power again. Waited a few minutes, then started it up again and drove to a parking space. When I went out to it, it started when I turned the key but within 10-15 seconds it lost power and stopped running. Turned the key off and then on. Electrical power was OK – lights and radio came on. The engine turned over but it did not catch. No check engine light. Sat the rest of the day.I turned it on many hours later – drove around the parking lot – no problem – let it idle for 10-15 minutes. No problem.Thoughts?

It'd be easier for me to list the things that don't commonly break on a caravan. No check engine light?

well this thing is a piece of shit and dad doesnt believe in general maintenance (ie 15K+ between oil changes) so theres no telling what all is on the long list of things wrong with it, but he wont fix them, just needs it to run.
