Ah, the egotist's art.I wonder what Smashing Pumpkins would've sounded like if this technology was available in 1990.

Out of curiosity, do you also think KT Tunstall and Keller Williams are brilliant?

I'm just saying, he's doing the same thing that every bedroom musician in the world is doing, only a little quicker. I'm willing to bet that for every cool composition he's stumbled upon that ends up on youtube, he's done a dozen that people walk away from on the street.

I can't find the exact quote, but Phil Spector always said that an album was nothing but two hits and ten pieces of garbage.

See, I thought you were suggesting the opposite because of the .I don't know what albums you're listening to, but most of the stuff I come across from a good artist is just the opposite, with the good/bad track ratio being about 5:1.Anyway, I don't think he's bad, and he's definitely making the most of the technology that's available. With that said, the fact that he uses a loop pedal to do this live instead of using a multitracker to do it in his bedroom is not revolutionary or impressive. On top of that, there are plenty of other artists making arguably more interesting music using the same technology. ]

Why the hate on Keller Williams? Dude is a great guitarist. I haven't heard a whole lot of his stuff, but I like quite a few of his songs.

Yngwie Malmsteen is also a great guitarist...doesn't mean I want to listen to him play.

there will always be elitist condescending remarks about any form of music that will ever be posted in this forum. that is fact. i thought it was pretty cool, and don't feel the need to seek out something that i would consider better so that i might "1-up" the OP
