The Hold Steady >>>>>>>>> Drive-By Truckers on the "Rock and Roll Means Well" Tour in November of 2008. It was technically a co-headlining tour where they switched headlining duties for each city they played, but when they played in Raleigh, they came to Lincoln Theatre, and the Hold Steady went first. Their show was one of the best I've ever been to, easily. The Truckers were drunk as fuck and mediocre at best, and I didn't stay for the whole thing.
