Two GOP pickups? Also, CO gov (a dem) is not seeking re-election.

GOP will probably pick up ND. Counter-intuitively, Dodd's departure probably helps the Democratic Party in Connecticut, but don't expect them to elect a particularly leftist Democrat.^ This election will probably be the best chance for 3d party candidates to pick up house seats in a couple of decades. I'm not saying it will happen but the right candidates could pull it off since both parties are losing a lot of incumbents and both parties are dropping in the polls.

Good--Dodd was going to lose anyway. Now maybe this lizard will crawl off somewhere.I am not a lizard!

Blumenthal will run in Dodd's place, I believe, and he's very popular in Connecticut. I doubt any Republican can beat him.

Dodd was great in my opinion, this is a loss to this country

ND is a GOP pick-up if the governor runs, CT will stay Dem because any Dem will be running against either a failed congressman or any number of vanity candidates with no credibility (Linda McMahon?)

I looked him up and he's polling at like 5%. Why, is there something about him I missed?
