yes, provide proof of ownership and the VIN and they can look it up and have a new one cut.
1/2/2010 5:19:07 PM
Are you sure they do that for older cars as well?
1/2/2010 5:28:40 PM
sure

^ I seem to remember something like this
1/2/2010 6:16:29 PM
Leave spare key in ignition, put padlock on the door.
1/2/2010 6:46:20 PM
Go to a locksmith, but anyone with any common sense would have though of this before coming to this shithole, right?
1/2/2010 8:38:08 PM
Did you seriously just come in this thread to say "Go to a locksmith?"Seriously?
1/2/2010 9:34:38 PM
the Infiniti dealership made me one for my 93 G20 when i lost my key ring.as was stated before, proof of ownership and VIN is all they needed. it cost $asia though.
1/2/2010 10:18:15 PM

Optmusprimer vs 9one9...Wait, 9one9 is a deceptacon?
1/3/2010 1:39:56 AM
If I remember correctly, I had Home Depot make one for me
1/3/2010 3:29:15 PM
because that is what he's asking about and all
1/3/2010 3:45:40 PM
if your spare doesn't work very well, you could try taking it to a place like home depot or lowes and have them make a new one from the old...i assume that your spare sucks because it's worn down, so a new one might work for youin some cases, taking it to a more professional key cutter is the only way to get a good key made (my saturn key can't be duplicated with one of those small machines...i have to take it to a place like hakky in crabtree to get a usable copy since those small machines only make a key to open the doors, not one that will start the car)
1/3/2010 5:00:09 PM
If you can get a blank I have a key cutting machine.
1/3/2010 5:26:56 PM
^ Does it just copy keys or will it cut a key by the numbers?
1/3/2010 5:28:47 PM
Nah, it's all by hand.
1/3/2010 5:34:27 PM
I'm not in NC...can I mail it to you?
1/3/2010 5:46:22 PM
Oh, nah, that's probably not a good idea. I've got the same thing most old fashioned hardware stores have. So you'd probably be better off finding one local that can do trial and error with your spare key.
1/3/2010 5:48:46 PM
Why's that not a good idea?Trial and error at a hardware store sounds long expensive and frustrating.
1/3/2010 5:50:25 PM
Burke Brothers charges like $1.50 per key. I can't really guarantee you results and don't have the time to mess with it.
1/3/2010 5:55:32 PM
No offense, but if you don't have the time to cut a key why'd you offer your key cutting machine? You don't think I'm trying to steal a car or something do you?
