Looking to purchase an enclosed trailer before the end of the year. Wanted some advice on the best manufacturers and some features to look for when purchasing. So far I've been looking at a 7 x 14 Diamond Cargo V Nose trailer, dual axles with brakes 6 1/2 ft roof, side air vents, ramp door, hitch lock, e tracks, and 4 e straps with a quote of $3,400 at East Coast Sales off Capital Boulevard. I'll mainly be using the trailer for storing / transporting landscaping equipment (60" deck zero turn toro, scag self propelled walk behind, blowers, weed eaters, misc equipment).[Edited on December 21, 2009 at 2:49 PM. wells cargo is a good onebut why an enclosed trailer for landscaping equipment? an open landscaping trailer and a carport would better serve you I would think

yeah, i have a 6x12' open trailer i'll sell for less than half of that cost

^ Exactly what I was thinking. ncsufanalum buy josh's trailer, weld a rack on there for the weed eaters and other shit and you are all set. If you are worried about rain, you can get a carport to park the trailer under for $500 or so.

yep, and if you have a rack and buy my trailer, I'll weld it on for you if you can't do it.

You can get the rack from the trailer place in Wendell, in fact I need to go by there and get a fender for my trailer.

i worked for a landscaping company for a while. an enclosed trailer makes life a lot easier. you only have a couple locks to lock. weedeaters and blowers don't disappear off the trailer while you're sitting in a restaurant for lunch. tarps don't blow out of the back of the truck and you don't lose bales of pinestraw on the highway. all your shit doesn't get soaked if a thunderstorm pops up on you. etc etc etchell, we'd haul loads of mulch inside that bitch. don't have to worry about it getting rained on and getting heavy and you don't have to wrap it with a tarp. for brush removal we'd just throw it in there instead of fucking with more tarps. just sweep it out when you're done and go again.[Edited on December 22, 2009 at 11:07 PM. I, too, worked for a landscaping company at one time. You can't trust those dudes to do shit and, at the rate you pay them, they could care less if company property disappears. If the company owner is actually hauling the gear around he probably has more important things to do than spend a lot of effort securing the gear or putting it away every evening.$3400 is a small price to pay for a piece of gear with such strong benefits.

Enclosed FTW. no way id landscape with an open trailer, for reasons mentioned in this thread.

What if this dude doesn't have a garage to park this in? I would get one just for the extra security, if nothing else, and not having to totally unload it every day to make sure my stuff doesnt get gone. Also, I almost forgot:

Not in the market for an open trailer. No space in the garage for the equipment.
