(last one started Jan. 2nd of this year so don't say it's too early)

there's a mock up on ESPN Insider but I don't have access, just says Suh to Rams

im thinking it will be

1. Rams
2. Bucs
3. Lions
4. Browns
5. Chiefs

if you could get a 1st and 2nd for deangelo you should jump on it. stewart definatly makes that easier to swallow. the shelf life of a rb is too short not to get that kind of value in return.

^why not trade stewert and some draft picks for a number 1?

get toby gerhart later in the draft who basically is a poor mans jonathan stewert and you have a 1st rd pick also

I can't see sending picks in addition to a guy who was the 13th pick overall last year just to get a first rounder.

it would be foolish to trade either stewart or williams.

"UNC football coach Butch Davis announced this morning that six junior players, including five of his defensive starters, will return for their senior seasons.

It had been widely speculated that UNC's defense, which held opponents to an ACC-low 267.8 yards a game this season, would be hit hard by early departures for this spring's NFL draft. However, defensive tackle Marvin Austin, defensive backs Kendric Burney and Deunta Williams, linebackers Quan Sturdivant and Bruce Carter all have decided to return to UNC for the 2010 season, along with Tar Heels wide receiver Greg Little. "http://blogs.newsobserver.com/accnow/unc-juniors-sticking-around-one-more-football-season

Bad move by the holes. All these guys could get screwed if the CBA doesnt get worked out. Although I dont necessarily think it will happen, some mock drafts have Austin being drafted #20. If I had any inkling that I could be top 20, you got to take that money and run.

I thought for sure Austin would be gone

It does seem like there would be a HUGE risk in coming back since one of the main sticking points in the CBA is first round money. It will almost assuredly be cut drastically so that rookies aren't the highest paid players at their respective position anymore. Of course, this is assuming that there will be a draft and football in 2011. Now is the time if you want that $Texas.

Supposedly Tebow is having issues simply taking snaps under center at Senior Bowl practice. That & he's been inaccurate, has a horribly slow delivery, & the worst mechanics of any QB there.

^^ Even if true, does it really matter. Tebow is only going to a Wildcat player in the mold of Pat White (obviously with less speed and maybe more passing ability).

^^ Couple of twitter posts from the first day at the Sr. Bowl:

http://twitter.com/mortreport/statuses/8211891499
http://twitter.com/HolderStephen/status/8208515894

^ I agree most people saw him as a wildcat QB, FB, or TE at the next level, but I figured he'd have a better showing than this. I think he's just sliding further down the draft board and will continue to do so until the draft. I thought all along any team willing to waste a first-round pick on him should have their pick stripped, because it's just a bad call, except maybe the Jaguars if they're doing it in hopes of using his popularity in Florida to stimulate ticket sells.

Anyone else see our favorite C Ted Larsen hike a ball 10 feet over the head of his QB to give up a TD to the North? Brings back terrible memories.

2 points below average

I mean it wasn't like he vinceyoung'd it or anything, I don't know why people are even talking about Tebow's score, Bradford's is more noteworthy.

Even though the Browns signed Delhommeboy, any chance they'll still draft a QB early since they're dangling Quinn? And speaking of which, was that not the most ass-backward series of events?

- cut Anderson, ostensibly to make room for Quinn
- make Quinn trade bait

Since they want compensation for Quinn, shouldn't they have tried to trade him first? That would have sent the message, "We're moving forward with Derek Anderson as our quarterback; make us an offer we can't say no to and Quinn is yours." Now they have Sega Genesis... er, Seneca Wallace and Jake Delhomo as their top 2 QB options, which would be fine if the third option wasn't a now-unmovable former first-round draft choice.

It'll either be him or Colt sitting there. The problem with this is that isn't the 1st round on Thursday night this year, so whoever didn't get drafted in the 1st would have to come back the next day to sit at their table.

Jacksonville is going to draft Tebow because they pretty much have to. My parents live outside Jacksonville and for at least the last 5 years, there has been a daily sports front page article about Tebow (even in off months where nothing football is going on, the Florida Times Union will still find something to write about Tebow).

All the way back to his years at Nease high school, through his recruitment war between Alabama and UF, his career at UF, and now the NFL draft and his impending NFL career. Tebow is a God to many people in Jax regardless if he will basically be Danny Wuerffel in a linebacker's body. Plus the Jaguars need a name to help sell tickets. Just the idea of their golden boy coming in on 3rd and short to run a wildcat offense will probably increase ticket sales 50%. Also with all of the UF redneck idiots that live in that area, they'll be able to hawk merchandise hand over fist.

I believe Tebow is a good and genuine person. I hope he is able to actually save the Jaguars because I like having an NFL team close by my old hometown.

I heard that the OWNER of the Jags ran a poll to their season ticket holders to see if they wanted the team to draft Tebow. the vote came out to something like 54% no, but the simple fact that the owner decided to ask the fans what they thought shows how poorly run that franchise is

^^^Yep. Maybe I just haven't been paying attention because the Panthers don't have a 1st rounder (yet), but I had no clue. This is from NFL.com

"The NFL draft will kick off in prime time for the first time in 2010, it was announced Thursday. The first round of the 2010 NFL Draft will start on Thursday, April 22 at 7:30 p.m. ET, with the second and third rounds on Friday, April 23 at 6 p.m. ET, followed by Rounds 4-7 on Saturday, April 24 at 10 a.m. ET."

I don't think it would be unwise for the Jaguars to trade down a couple times if they can find suitors, and draft Tebow. They would rake in the high draft picks and get a lot of quality players (maybe) to rebuild their team. And season tickets would sell...let's not kid ourselves.

It takes two to tango as far as trade downs go. Somebody worthwhile would have to drop (possibly Clausen) for a team to want to trade up

This draft is so deep everyone will be looking to trade down, and noone will give up much to trade up (with the possible exception of a unique player a team feels will be "the guy").
