Driving a 2001 Chevy Tahoe. Yesterday morning I turned the vent control from windshield over to dash (head only) and a loud clicking noise started coming from under the dash. It only happens when it's turned to full dash, turn it one notch towards head+feet and everthing's quiet again. I took a look last night and you can see the gears that change the vent control are working. It just looks like the servo isn't getting the signal to stop trying to move the vent when it gets to 100% when it's set to dash vent only, and it keeps trying to advance further. The gears themselves aren't stripping and nothing appears to be broken, plastic gear-wise.It also looks like they started building the Tahoe around that particular part. Is there some way to reset it without taking it out and putting a new one in? Or has anyone else had this problem and fixed it?

Turn the climate control compeltely off and turn the key off. Then turn the key on and leave it for about 45 minutes. At least I think thats the reset procedure. google it
