At 4-7, and in 3rd place in the NFC South, it may seem as if the Panthers are a virtual lock to make playoffs. I'm here to say otherwise. The Panthers have an extremely hard schedule coming up: TB, @NE, MIN, @NYG, NO. In that list of games, I see 2 definite losses in there (NYG and MIN). And don't think that NYG will rest up for playoffs, they didn't last year and they won't this year. MIN is hott right now and the Metrodome is getting cold, that is a definite loss. Now let's look at the others. TB: hott team coming off of a loss that has been shutting down the pass lately (Ryan- 15 yds, White 0 yds, Rodgers- 266 yds and 2 TD 3 int which is pretty low numbers for him; other teams to keep him to those totals were Min and Chi). Not to mention that TB has been pretty good stopping the run lately. I give Panthers a loss here. Next, NE. Tom Brady owns the Panthers. Simply put. Brady has won this contest 5 out of the last 5 times they have played each other, and with a very strong Patriots team right now, I don't expect anything different. Next, Minn. Giving the Panthers a loss here, because this game will be very tough. Minn just beat SEA in MIN and they look to be coming back to their early season form, plus Brett Favre will be healthy by the time this game is played and Smith will be invisible. I give Panthers this loss tho, barely. Next, @NYG, giving Panthers this loss as well. I think the Panthers suck and Giants will be more determined to win because they are fighting for a playoff berth, but this again will be a tough game because it is away.In summary, the Panthers just have an extremely tough schedule and I'm sorry for you guys but it just isn't going to work out like you think this year. They have been a benificiary of an extremely easy schedule and they have shown a drop off in play lately. Not to mention with Saints a lock for #1 seed and Cardinals, Giants, Packers, Bears, Falcons, Eagles, and now the Cowboys all breathing down their neck with easier schedules, the future looks dim unfortunately for the Panthers. This season for the Panthers will end as one of the biggest blown opportunities ever, and it will happen, but it isn't the Panthers' faults playing bad so much, its just that schedule. They have never been good this whole season, they got an easy early schedule and now it will show.[Edited on November 29, 2009 at 5:03 PM. I am going to start putting all the blame on John Fox, if delhomme isn't capable of doing his job, it cant be his fault i guess that he keeps being playedi am TIRED of hearing "jake was the best option for what we were trying to do with our gameplan" from fox...perhaps "what you are trying to do" is not right and if jake is the best option for "what you are trying to do", you need to evaluate "what you are trying to do"

just so everyone knows, (didnt know where to post this), but Jon Beason was arrested last night.he blew up some guy's face at Uptown Caberet after the Atlanta win a few weeks ago in charlotte.details will emerge soon, but he was brought to jail last night. im sure he posted bond and was released. this will not sit well.
12/1/2009 9:10:16 AM
just heard from credible source that this is utter bullshit and some guy trying to get money from Beason. that's that.

Yea Im not trying to convince you of anything, I'm telling you how it will go. Anyone who is totally confident that the Panthers make playoffs this year after looking at that schedule doesnt really know much about those teams and the NFL.
12/13/2009 4:05:08 PM
There's no convincing needed now. It is mathematically impossible for the Panthers to make the playoffs.
12/13/2009 4:18:58 PM
